I've stated it before I'm fully on board trae young at 6. I just dont know if our front office would go for it. Most of us all thought dsjr was our guy last year and of course our front office took a different route. I just dont know if they will pull the trigger on young.

I will go with taking a gamble on Young. Maybe we can make a trade and go after Noel in free agency?

Real talk, people shouldn't really be that dissapointed there are several players that are pretty damn good and we're going to get one. This is a pretty good class to me, i see a few stars in this class maybe a few all-stars but no lebrons that's for sure.

MPj or Young. I don't want to vote until workouts happen.

We're at the back end of a talented group of 6 or 7 players. Not ideal, but could be worse. I still would like to see them commit harder to the tank in a bad year like this one and get a top 3 pick. We can see that the pattern we've been in leads to mostly being mediocre at best. It takes really smart moves to buck that trend otherwise.
Regardless, we can be reasonably certain that we will be able to pick one of: Young, Porter, Bagley, or Bamba. Any of those 4 can help the team and I'm hopeful of them all having good upside. Porter looked really exciting in HS. I hope for his sake, whether it's with ORL or not, that he is able to recover. Back injuries are no joke.

Our pick is so obvious this year that you would think there is no way we can mess it up. The fans agree and most post-lottery mocks do as well. With the 6th pick, the Orlando Magic would be foolish to pick anyone out of Trae Young

Last year a lot of us(including myself) wanted DSJr but I was not surprised and even expected the Isaac pick. You could not let a potential talent like Isaac pass and we needed defense and wing help. This year after watching this team, there is a glaring need in scoring, shooting, and facilitating. With Payton being a bust and waste of time, Vuc gone soon, we need a floor leader and scorer to pair up alongside an offensive developing Isaac and AG.

At some point, we are going to need to stop drafting "potential" and finally draft a POINT GUARD. So serviceable PG will come here in free agency and trading for one would not be wise when we are in a position to pick one.

ALso for those trashing him for the OKC record, did you see the teammates he was playing with? Its was like DSJr in NC State. Playing alongside dudes that won't even make a Gleague team. Put Trae Young with some NBA talent and he would flourish.

Im actually glad we fell back to the 6th because we are finally in the position to make the right pick the need. This also means we pretty much will match anything for AG since we won't be in Bagley or Ayton range. A trio of Isaac, AG, and Young is something to get excited about again.

ALL ABOARD THE TRAE YOUNG TRAIN! NEXT STOP: either 10 more years of the lottery or the next Steph Curry?

I feel like Young and Porter Jr may rise throughout the draft process. Moreso Young but Porter Jr could prove he's 100% healthy and move up. That being said, I want either of those guys at #6 because they have the best chance of becoming superstars based on the info we have. I'd also want these guys if we were picking #1 (maybe Doncic).

Trade back into the first round and snag a developmental athletic freak to appease WeHam.

Outside of top 3 swaps like Tatum and Penny, when has that ever worked well?

I'm sorry but this is a terrible idea.
There are a solid 6-7 players and we are at #6.

It's not that I think he will be selected already its that I cant see Young whatsoever being the type of player that WeHam would pick. I've been a young supporter on this board and Id take him over Bamba and JJJ but I cant see Weltman feeling the same way.

i think young will be there imo...

Suns-Luka/Ayton
Kings- Ayton/Luka
Hawks-JJJ
grizzlies-Bagley
Mavericks-Bamba
Magic

that's how i see it to be honest, those teams ahead of us pretty much need bigs and already have starting point guards except the suns who i doubt would pick Young 1st overall. Like i said though, the wild card is Micheal Porter Jr and if he shows any inkling of having that explosion back and he's looking fluid with his movements then things can change a lot. Although i'm not looking forward to what's to come, with prospects and their agents playing games....Not releasing medical information, not working out etc..

Agreed,,,,, those 5 will most likely be gone .... and that is all dependent on Porter's health.... I can see him totally changing the landscape of the draft..... pshhhhh.... even possibly change the top 2 players taken. He is the wild card in the draft for sure.

Other than Phoenix.... none of the teams above us truly need a new point guard..... so unless he goes number 1..... phoenix trades down..... we are the first likely spot. Porter on the other hand could fit in at Atl, Memphis, Sac and dallas. so..... we shall see. Gonna be an interesting night.

With the combine starting tomorrow there is so much that can change things.i e bamba measures in at 7' 230 lb with a 7-10" wingspan to start the day off. haha

I think the top 2 are already decided with Ayton and Luka but the 3 could very well be MPJr if he kills the workouts. People forget that before the injury, MPJs was the project #1 overall pick. I could see him breaking the top 5 as he would be a need for either ATL, Memphis, or Dallas. That would mean that one of Bamba, JJJ or Bagley would fall. I still take Trae unless by some miracle Bagley drops to the 6th which wont happen.

Atlanta's the only threat to take Young. Schroeder may be on his way out. May be too gutsy a move for #3 but none of the others should be looking at Trae...someone could always trade in - lots of room before our pick.
