I wanted to hear more about the changes that were going to be implemented into Live 19 but it is clear that it is not a priority for EA in comparison to the other titles they displayed. This is as good of a chance as they are gonna get to convert some of the 2K community back into Live. 2K still is gonna be microtransaction heavy since Take Two feels that business model is sustainable for them. Hell they are gonna charge an extra $40 just to play their game four days earlier...

Today should provide much more content when it comes to games with Microsoft, Bethesda and Devolver having their conferences at 3:00 pm EST, 8:30 pm EST, and 10:00 pm EST respectively.

I hope Microsoft has a good show. I don't have an Xbox and most likely never will since most of their games can be played on a PC and I play most 3rd party games on my PS4 Pro, but competition is a good thing and they really need to put out more 1st party games. If anything, there should be some good 3rd party stuff there that is playable on PC or PS4.

Bethesda is definitely what I'm looking forward to most today. They always have interesting games to show, and of course, I'm excited to see what Fallout 76 is.

I don't really care about Devolver, but once in a while, they put out something cool looking.

Yeah, it's unfortunate because the sports games are what always get passes. Companies like EA have got away with adding microtransactions for years in games like Madden and Fifa which is why they got so greedy/cocky and thought they could get away with it in their other AAA titles. 2k has done the same thing for years with their myteam mode as well. They suck people in and get them to buy the same packs year after year to get the same players they got the year before. I really dont see them stopping anytime soon.

Oh nice, a gaming thread! I have a gaming PC and a white PS4, that blue PS4 that just came out is sexy though, it's my favorite color blue and it's Magic blue.

I don't like EA at all, I don't like how they've monopolized the American football and European football genres, instead of working hard and trying to best the competition, they've just bought the exclusive rights and released half assed games, must feel good being paid in full to do half the work. PES is a superior game bar one or two things, but they're basically dead now with the loss of the Champions League license, NFL 2k was a superior game, it died because EA bought the exclusive rights to the NFL, and when EA made there NBA live come back after several years of not releasing the game, they tried to buy the exclusive rights, but thankfully the NBA rejected that deal. EA are not alone of being a crap gaming company but they're sure as hell the worst of the lot in my opinion. My friend wants me to get Battlefield so bad and keeps telling me that it's Dice that's has control of their game and not EA etc... but I just can't support that company.

What's funny is that, a lot of people have accused 2k lately for becoming EA in that they've come out with half assed games, when you have no competition you have no feel, no reason for bettering a product, and they 'know' the majority of the people are stupid and will still buy their product regardless (which has been proven wrong because 2k18 is a dead game) because let's face it, what other game in that genre will they buy? That NBA Live trash? Yeah right! Let's hope the people can send a message by not buying the product, I know it's a bit far fetched but we can hope.

Competition brings the best out of companies, but I guess when you can just buy your way in life and the same time kill your competition, there's no need of hard work. I'm done with sports games on console, Football manager 19 on PC will probably be my only buy.

My immediate hot take is that I think Microsoft did an excellent job today and has some really good looking exclusives to look forward to. I'll go into further detail on the games after I get some free time from this family function I'm at.

What exclusives? Everything they showed is either on ps4 or pc and even the pc "exclusives" were just gears and halo again weren't they? I sold my xbox a couple of years ago just got frustrated with the lack of actual exclusives considering i already own a pc and a ps4

A new Halo, Ori sequel, Gears 5, and forza Horizion 4. More importantly for me though is they announced they bought 5 new studios that will be making first party games for them. That's huge for me. I've had every Xbox console but the exclusives this generation has really been lacking. I think they absolutely killed this E3 and ive got confidence that they are trending in the right direction again.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Well said.

Microsoft needed to instill confidence back to the gamers that own their system and I feel that they did that today.

Jesus christ, CD projekt red just take my money Cyberpunk looks amazing. Speaking on Microsoft, it was meh i mean acquiring those studios is cool but anything they make it's going to take a few years to make so it's possible they're not even going to be making anything for the 1X but for the next console after.

Man yesterday was packed full of news across the three conferences at E3. Microsoft and Bethesda did extremely well I thought and Devolver continues to be weirdly entertaining...

I'll just post the conferences here if anyone wants to watch them again or missed them when they were live:

I agree with you on Cyberpunk. Game looks absolutely incredible.

In regards to Microsoft, I see your point but the XB1X is an absolute beast of a console when it comes to raw power and performance and I feel its shelf life is far from finished. It is very possible that the studios that they acquired have projects in queue that will be made available for the X well before it is time for Microsoft to think about developing a new console. This was huge for them in establishing a plan on getting more exclusive games specifically for their console. They are behind Sony obviously on this but it will be interesting to see how Microsoft starts competing throughout this year and heading into the next two years.

In case everyone missed out, Bethesda made Fallout Shelter free on PSN and on the Nintendo Switch. Also, playing Skyrim on an Alexa enabled Amazon device is really a thing...

This is the big day of E3 today. I honestly expect Sony to kill it tonight and be head and shoulders at the top above their competition (console competitors) in these press conferences:

Nice XBOX show and I was happy how Bethesda did the Fallout reveal. I am still on the fence with it, 4 was my first time playing Fallout and I loved that game, I am just worried about co-op and all that focus. That never ends well for me.

I am just pulling for a huge PS4 announcement tonight. Superman? Socom?

Ubisoft is what developer I play the most, so I am pretty hyped for what they've got.

Yeah Fallout 76 scares me as well but I'm glad they are doing a beta so we can at least test things out and see if the experience will be great or not.

My PS4 announcement prediction still has to do with the remake of Final Fantasy VII. If that gets announced either in the Square Enix presser or Sony's (it should be announced here tbh), I will mark the hell out...

EA can be happy that they did not have the worst conference at E3. Square Enix clearly holds that elusive title.
