If Mo was as active as Birch we would have a young monster on our hands

One thing I love about Birch is dude always fights. Offensive board, through picks, defensive boards.

If he could find a jump shot man he could get super solid minutes.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

I missed watching Birch play. He deserves a spot in an NBA rotation somewhere.

Agreed. Trade Vuc for a good pg and just play Birch/Mo. Yes, I know that's a huge downgrade at the C spot today but a good PG vs Gran or Simmons would be worth it.

Briscoe running this second squad makes them an entirely different unit. So much energy. Birch banging out there helps too.

I wouldn't mind watching a Bamba/Birch rotation if we (hopefully) trade Vuc.

Yeah, this game is complete fools gold. Just comes down to the Jazz missing shots that they usually make and that other teams would make and us shooting a ridiculous percentage from 3. Not sustainable. Probably still end up losing.

Briscoe wasn't spectacular or anything, but he wasn't actively hurting us, which is an upgrade over Grant or Simmons at PG. Grant looks downright suicidal on the bench. Don't know what to tell him, he had a really good opportunity here to play that position and even compete for a larger role, considering DJ is just a stopgap. But he was terrible.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Mitchell is getting into that inbetween position (with his defender on his back and the help defender in front of him but giving him plenty of space) any time he wants. He's missed a handful of those shots, but that's not a good position to be in as a defense. If he keeps getting into the paint like that, the baskets and/or fouls will eventually start coming in bunches.

wouldn't say so. starters played in a similiar fashion with previous games, albeit with a better effort. especially isaac. bench managed to sustain the lead for once, which I attribute to dynamism that came with briscoe and birch.

Good first half but we've seen this before. I'm hoping for a strong finish to the game.

What a heinous shot by Fournier.

To confirm, in 20 minutes he's:
0-4, with 0 rebounds, 0 assists, 1 steal, 0 blocks, 2 turnovers and 2 fouls. That's his complete stat sheet in TWENTY minutes...

Fournier a team-high +23 despite an 0-fer across the board (aside from 1 steal) and a turnover. Here we see the fallibility of the +/-.

Vuc for D'Angelo?

I don't mind it. Make them figure it out on their own. How many timeouts have fixed these issues in the past with this team?
