As long as all this talk of exploring guards at the top of the draft or even trading for a star guard means WeHam is thinking of life after Evan Fournier then I am happy.

Rolling with this idea for a minute.

It’s hard not to think Haliburton is the target for our AG + #15 trade up agenda.

I dont know how Haliburton would succed in Cliffords inside-outside offense. Player with similar projected role last year was NAW and we literally made a smokescreen out of him. We doesnt seem high on guards who cant get to the rim. I would pick Hayes, Vassell and Okoro before Haliburton.

Okoro scares me as a prospect. I love the energy and his attacking style but he is awefull shooting the ball. You back off and take away the dunks/layups and right now he cant make you pay.

I can see Okoro being effective even without a consistent jumper. Yes he is not a good shooter, but people overlook that he is actually a good offensive player. He can get to the rim, he has soft touch, he can finish above the rim, he is a good passer. I dont like the fit with Fultz, but talent could be too big to pass. Defensive trio of Okoro/Okeke/Isaac could wreck havoc for years.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

The last thing we need to worry about is catering to Cliff’s bottom 10 offense. Talent is more important than mediocre coaching.

I am all about offensive talent and thats why i dont want Haliburton. Its easy to aquire bad offensive players like Gordon, Isaac, Fultz and then blame the coach. I am high on those guys outside AG, but we need more than Haliburton.

Haliburton is probably the most NBA ready player in the draft. He might not score a bunch but he'll fill up the boxscore.

I want Kira Lewis if we take a PG and don't trade up. He's a ninja

Im really starting to like this Nesmith kid.. I think the consensus is that the Magic need more shooting and that's EXACTLY what this kid does better than any other 1st round prospect

As far as who I WANT us to draft, I think I've narrowed it down to either

Trade up for Anthony edwards
Or
Get Cole Anthony one way or another

We NEED one of those 2 players on this team. Alpha scorers with true star power.......

......so of course we're gonna end up drafting Josh Green

If Cole Anthony plummets down into the mid 20s, I think we try to find a deal for a pick there for Ross and a 2nd and grab him. I wouldn't feel comfortable picking him at 15.

Hayes wouldn't have worked out for us if they didn't have a way to move up. It'll be interesting to if we work out any other top 8 players.

Teams have to do their due diligence if they're near the lottery regardless if they move up or not. Some players can slide 5-10 picks or work out for teams if they hear a range they've been hearing from agents.

He might be boom or bust, but he had the highest ceiling of anyone outside the top 5
Id much rather take my chances on him than all the guys people talk about at 15.

Infact, I'm betting this "falling" talk is a smokescreen and he goes top 10. Hes too good to after guys like williams\vassell, nesmith, haliburyon, bey etc

Bane is 6'6'' with a 6'4'' wing span. WeHam would never... Cole Anthony shot 40% from the field I don't see him as a stud.

I was just comparing Precious to Amare the other day, because of the way they go to the basket. I noticed to draftexpress comparing them today and they have almost identical measurements and weight.

Anyone see a Haliburton and Hardaway comparison?

Im with you 100%. I never believed Cole would be there at 15. If hes there he should be strongly considered. I cant imagine taking a stationary 3&D player over him. The bust chance is clearly there but theres clear potential to be not just a shot maker but shot creater. We see what we need and we see what wins in this league. At 15 you gotta roll the dice depending on whats on the board

If we're moving up where is the most realistic spot? Because I don't see us trading all that just to move up a couple spots.

Regarding cole... I probably am wrong on this but all i see of him is a no-conscience shoot first, shoot later and shoot some more SG in a PG body...

That's based on his UNC days and what I think is gonna happen on the league.
