Mike Breen said on the Knicks telecast that Isaac is expected to return in January. No idea what his source is on that.

Why do you even care what athlete thinks in first place ? I'll never get worshiping of athletes ( or even worst, celebrities and singers ) in general. Difference between you and one Lebron James comes from fact that one was born as "zero point one percent genetic" athletic outliner being 6'9, low bodyfat , motoric ability, durabilty , coordination . And other is you. Without any of it.
Sure sure hard work and all other buzzwords that mean little. Reality is rather ugly one, he (and most of them ) was born with body to become zero point one percent -athlete, you weren't. That's doesn't make him, or any other pro athlete political opinion any more valuable ( or less valuable ) than yours. So why do you care?

People got so cought up into this Isaac opinion that it's hilarous. You think vaccination is saving lifes? Good, take vaccine. If he doesn't, good, let him do whatever he pleases. IF that ends up costing him money and career (like it seems to be doing to Kyrie Irving) ,again, it's his decision , not yours to make. If he feels like going to talk shows and talk with people who share same opinion views, good for him. Jason Collins was nba nobody and went in public to say he is gay. Over next couple of months he was popping out of every talking show that is left wing or supported left wing. CNN, Oprah, ABC news , you name it, he was there. And Jason Collins from basketball perspective was equivalent of 14th man in rotation on bad team.

They get calls to those shows because it helps spread agendas, they use world-wide athletes worship to do their "wink wink--see XY is famous and he thinks just like us, it means we are right -wink wink".

Is there any chance this stuff is contributing to why he ain’t playing?

Just seems weird to me that we don’t even have an estimate when it’s been over year…feels like there’s something else at play.

November 13th, according to the injury report.

Has JI been with the team yet on game nights? I haven't been watching every minute of these games and I've seen Fultz and Okeke on the sidelines but not JI yet.

I see him there every game. On every IG post, he's there working out.

Thanks! I saw him in the pre-season but hadn't seen him yet in the regular season.

Who cares? Franz / WCJ / Bamba got that covered.

When is FULTZ! returning? That is the question. I want Cole out of the starting lineup ASAP.

When JI and Kelle return I’d prefer Cole and TRoss starting. Then bringing in Fultz, Suggs and Isaac in together as a platoon to get time playing together since they are the future of the franchise.

Is he vaccinated? Will he be allowed to play if not?

He doesn't identify as anti-vaxx but he is not vaccinated for COVID and says he didn't make his own vaccine decisions when he was younger.

He will be allowed to play (Florida has been a free for all with COVID for a while) but there are NBA protocols that prevent him from having a locker room with the team, eating with the team, doing film sessions near the team, etc. We don't know who else on the team isn't vaccinated so maybe he's not alone.

I saw a report that he is the only unvaccinated player on the team. Don't know if it's accurate or not.

Interesting. I wonder how that will play out from a team chemistry perspective. Gotta think Isaac is at the very least not a part of the "in" group and most likely kind of an outsider with the Cole/Suggs/RJ/Fultz/Okeke/Bamba/WCJ crew.

Isaac tore his ACL on August 2, 2020 and *STILL* isn't even playing. It's like he's a charity that the Magic keep donating to. He's making $17.4 million to do nothing.
Do you think Isaac is doing something to not play?

I don't know, but I think it's strange. It's been almost 15 months and very little is said about when he's expected back. He's not doubtful, he's not questionable, he's not day-to-day, he's just out.

ACL tears are not what they used to be. Players routinely come back in less than a year. If Burrow can come back to start the NFL season within 10 months in a full-contact sport with defensive linemen flying at his knees, then why is Isaac continuing to sit out 15 months post-injury? If there is a perfectly simple medical explanation, why don't they announce it? Is it top secret? He allegedly has not had a setback. There are no reports that he re-injured the knee. The only thing we've heard about Isaac for months is that he refused to get vaccinated. Not much in the way of basketball or rehab news. And since he is the team's highest-paid long-term investment (Harris makes more this year but it's the last year of his deal), I'm surprised more fans and more media members aren't asking more questions.

My assumption is that no one really talks about his vaccines because he won't be back this season, so no need to discuss or create any problem for this... yet.

Am I misremembering this, or did JI have an opportunity to have surgery when he injured his ankle but opted against it? And that rehab timeline went from from 6 weeks to unknown which ended up being 6+ months? Can't remember if that was 2019 or 2020...

And I 100% agree we should be asking these questions. Start asking about it on this board and people start coming at you with "you're just biased because he's unvaccinated" crap. No, I'd like to see when our highest paid player will be playing and it's very concerning that he's only played 45% of potential games since entering the league in 2017.
