Fultz is a good defender. Black is a great defender.

They play the same way really. They probe and play fairly organized and get the ball where it needs to go. Neither get high assists. Black had 2 assists tonight. Paolo had 10. Nothing wrong with your PG just giving it to the best player or 2nd best player. And offensively their main weapon is finishing around the rim.

And the last is obviously Black is more willing to shoot the 3, at least from the corner.

Fultz is a 7th year guard with career low assist.

Black is playing his second NBA game practiaclly speaking, if you consider 16 minutes against the Jazz his 'first' game. Citing his 2 AST this game as an indication of his point guard skills is kinda disdisingenuous. Black wasn't even running the offense tonight.

Not sure how you got that interpretation but ok. I was pointing out that he's not a high assist player, not that he's a bad PG. In fact he was a very good PG tonight.

Too much for a guy that is basically Cole Anthony with WORSE defense.

Simons is way better than Cole and provides a need. And Given the fact that Fultz and Issac would be marginal losses at best and the Denver pick will be trash the only thing the magic would lose is the their pick. If better only provide one pick.

I would be, depending on the protection on the ORL pick.

You’re right.

Team looked better tonight on offense than it has all season against good competition.

Coincidence?                           (laughing emoji)

It's Anthony Black time. I think he's the better fit/player to start right now, and clearly for the future considering he's a young rookie.

The fact that he's willing to shoot it from the corner alone, really opens up alot for our offense

Defensively he's better than Fultz

And he's only 19 and a rookie, while Fultz is on the last yr of his deal

I think it's a no brainer if we're being honest

I just don’t see any reason for Mosley to deviate from tonight’s lineup until they give him one. If the young guys are thriving, let them thrive.

Fultz off the bench would help with the lack of playmaking in that 2nd unit and buy time for Jett to take over.

20-$25m > $8m over the next 3 seasons.

Those are some numbers we can laugh at while we are at it.

Everyone has been saying that AB is a terrible shooter, but I kept looking at the tape and could see the potential.

If we can get similar or better production from a taller better defender then I agree with you

Now we'll have so much money to throw at Joe Ingles or Jeff Green

One game sample sizes are not great indicators of anything, but at the very least it's showing Black is deserving of rotational minutes and Goga works super well versus specific matchups.

Max Power wrote:I was impressed by Black tonight, he had great composure and showed he’s definitely a future peice here. With that said, is there any kind of update on Markelle? I still think Markelle’s a good player, just off to a bad start to the season. Not ready to hand the keys to Black yet. But tonight was VERY encouraging.

Agreed. No need to rush Black but he is doing great things out there. His time is coming, don't rush it, let him contribute his way in, kid is 19.
