But for real, vest for Paolo.
That was odd

Considering Caruso is their best defender, and just played great defense on Durant a week ago to end the game, and stopped a potential game winner by him at the end of regulation, I'd say it was the right choice by Billy

Caruso is a one man wrecking crew on defense. He had guarded Paolo on one possession late and almost forced the turnover, still mucked up the possession. Then he guarded Franz and did force the turnover. Caruso is legitimately one of the best role players in the league and kept Chicago in this game. My guess is that Caruso asked to guard Paolo but Paolo forced him to the post and took advantage of the size difference. Had Paolo stayed on the perimeter it may have been a different story. His effect on the game is quite impressive.

Voted Paolo but I have to say the reason why we had such a big lead in first half and why the Bulls barely scored in 2nd half was because of Jonathan Isaac's defense.

I don't really feel like anyone deserves a vest for this win. Went with Suggs because I felt his hustle was impactful for us. Goga gets the cummerbund. I guess I'll give Paolo mittens for the game winner, but I demand more from him than 17/9/3 against the Bulls, especially with Dell and Kelle still out of the lineup. Another disappointing game from Franz, too.

Hopefully we step it up tomorrow, beating the same team twice on their court is never easy.

Orlando had a big lead because Anthony WENT OFF in the second quarter and Isaac turned the Bulls into a comedy act. All Banchero did was maintain a lead in the later part of the second quarter when the bench players sat.

I am not sure why Anthony isn't getting any love here. For a 9-minute stretch, he turned this game to the EASY mode.

From what I recall of my thoughts while watching, I felt like except for that stretch where he carried the offense, he was a liability out there. But that stretch was big for us looking back, granted.

So yeah looking back at the play-by-play (and box score), maybe Cole deserves some more recognition

Good win. We are in desperate need of a third scorer. PB and Franz getting double and triple teamed every possession. We need another guy or every game is going to be like this. We can’t depend on blowing teams out every game in order to win.

Oh I voted for Cole. That stretch means teams have to guard him and that makes things easier for PB/FW in terms of spacing.

That is the problem in these late game situations. Our lack of shooting means teams are sagging their assignment to clog things up for Paolo and Franz. When one of them makes a move they are running into two or three defenders.

I assume the reason many ppl left Cole out of this is because the end of 3rd into the 4th was pretty awful, just like vs the Nets. In fact this has been an issue during several games.
I vote:
Paolo because with the way things were going no one else on this team was going to make a shot at the end there.

vs Nets Black got subbed out with four minutes left in the 3rd q and came back in with one minute left in the game.

vs Bulls Black out with four minutes left in the 3rd q and back in with 6 minutes left in the 4th.

I voted Isaac, he only played 17 minutes, but he was absurdly dominant defensively during them and set the tone for the game. We won this game on the defensive end and he was our best defender. He was the main reason we got a big lead in the second quarter.

Sadly...17 mins is an exciting number...Mr. X-factor. I'd love him to be on this team for 5 more years, but...

Paolo, only because of the clutch buckets
Isaac, defensive monster
bunch of guys here. Suggs missed some 3s but was moving the ball well and saved a few possessions with his hustle, Goga is playing well for a third string center, Cole provided some buckets.

a win is a win but we played like **** and we need to make a trade.

He came back with 6.5 minutes left of the 4th quarter and only missed two plays when Cole was subbed for offense. Cole was quickly subbed back for Black.

Black also played the last 8.5 minutes of the Bucks game.

Mosely trusts Black more than Cole. That's apparent.

I trust Black more than Cole, too. But, Mosley went away from Black against the Nets. Not sure how to interpret that.

I think when Suggs went down, it messed up the rotations.

If we keep winning with Black in the closing lineup, it's going to make it harder for Mosely to take minutes away from him. Coaches always remember what worked in wins.
