similar comments last year...which I like. He seems humble & earnest about the "new job". Last year, he was talking about learning how to hold picks, etc...all of the beautiful subtleties that lead to winning basketball (and don't lead to individual credit). I think he's got the right mindset for the job...as well as the defensive instincts and athletic gifts (if he can just stay healthy). It may take a year or two, but learning how to set picks and box out like a center is a lot more learnable than the insane defensive gifts he already has.

I'm watching with interest for sure.

So, that is why his 3 point shot was off last season. He wasn't far enough away from the net.

What pleases me is that in Isaac's presser, he confirmed NOBODY left. And they kept in the gym working. But the players did like that they were "allowed" to leave, even though they didn't.

I mean... if you are already in the gym/court already sweating and pumped up... not to mention drinking your own version of Jordan's Secret Sauce... why wouldnt you just stay and not waste the sweat?

Just watch all of yesterday's pressers.

i) the players think they are still a top-3 defensive team
ii) the players think the offense is better and more shots are falling
iii) the players are as competitive as they have ever been
iv) there is a lot of happiness; suggesting the players are confident

bonus v) coach is also happy. Lots of smiling: as he loves the energy in practice.

I don't know which thread is which around here, but...

If Lonzo Ball is good to contribute, the Bulls are not a terrible team. Lots of players on that roster that can pitch in - especially if the "Giddey/Ball/White/THT" ball movement experiment is silky not clumsy. Obviously, contract be damned, Zach can score like anyone in the league. Vuc, Ayo, Jalen Smith, Patrick Williams, Matas Buzelis, Duarte are all decent rotation players...just another team below ORL, but not to be ignored. Lonzo Ball is a GREAT facilitator, high BBIQ guy, who can make other guys look really good.

Suggs + Franz is a better outcome than Barnes + whoever else was mocked in that range at #8 in 2021.
