Cole is still one of my favorite Magic players.
The last jersey I bought was a Turkoglue but I'd consider buying an Anthony for sure.

I’m sure you can find a deal on a Cole jersey.

Look: Anthony is a nice guy and one of the best interviews in the NBA. But Orlando NEEDS a forward and has 4 PGs. Anthony really needs to be traded by the trade deadline.

The target would be a player in the Cody Martin and Corey Kispert range. There has got to be a package for such a player that is simply one of Orlando's 2025 FRPs in a player swap.

lost us the last game. he literally gave us nothing as a backup point guard. his calling is "scoring" but he sucks at it.

he needs to go, we need a real point guard

They need a rotation forward and a dynamic guard off the bench to take Cole's job.

For the guard, the problem is that Harris is injured. He will return. Soon, I hope.

We don't have 4 PG's. We have 2 but those 2 sit on the bench all the time, namely Mac and Joseph. Suggs is no PG, Anthony is no PG, AB is learning to be one but unless he develops a reliable 3-point shot he is too often a liability on offense.

We could benefit greatly from a player like Schröder, who can structure the game but also score himself in bunches if needed.

I'd pair Black with Suggs in the starting lineup, and Schröder with KCP from the bench. I don't think we need another wing in the long run. We have plethora of guys who can play SF of needed. KCP, Harris, TDS, Black, Wagner, Paolo - all of them can fill in easily. It's easier to replace a SF than to find a PG who knows how to play his position.

I don't disagree. I was fairly shocked that the Magic resigned him I was also shocked the Magic siged a 4th PG in Joseph over a 3rd-string SF. But nobody asked my opinion!

Hey: I thought Bitadze made a big mistake to resign with Orlando. So: what do I know???

Based on this argument, one can argue the Magic has only one PG on the roster: Cory Joseph. But Orlando does have 4 players that are on the PG-depth chart, even if the 1st-to-3rd stringer are not classic PGs.

We have no nba level guards who can break defense and organize offense. We have bunch of role players who can defend opposimg guards on different level of success. Teams have third stringers who are better running offense than our starters.

Agreed. But ....
Personally I wouldn't care if the Magic had no PGs, if there was sniper shooting. Look at How the Bulls and the Lakers ran their respective triangle offenses. Neither team had a PG that did anything outside of what Orlando uses Caleb Houstan for. But it worked because the BJ Armstrongs and Craig Hodges of these sorts of teams were outstanding distance shooters.

For me the problem with this team is not a need for a PG that can break defense and organize offense, but rather, the horribly inconsistent distance shooting.

Look: if Suggs and Caldwell-Pope were both shooting a 40% longball, I project that instead of 17-10, the team would currently be 20-7.

Not even counting CoJo as he doesn’t actually play any more than Mac…ZERO NBA-level PGs.

I really think what Bitadze is bringing defensively, setting picks and rebuonding wise, if i) F-Wagner and Banchero are fully healthy and ii) Suggs and Caldwell-Pope give 38% every night with the long-ball, the Magic has their starting five. There is no trade I would make to upgrade any of those five if 1 and 2 were both true!

The bench, the Magic has Black, Howard/Harris, da Silva, Isaac, and M-Wagner. The full 10-man rotation is set.

Anthony is not part of any of that. So: for his mental welling, it's time to shift him to another team. Given that the Magic relly, really could use a 3rd string SF (or 3rd string combo-forward), the trade writes itself.

Return to Orlando Magic
