We can talk about this in November or at least in a month.

btw nobody "fears" Pacers but only teams that actually beat them were former champions and probably -new champions. Nobody else.
Maybe it's time to take them serious?

Wait...are you suggesting this isn't a constructive use of our time?

Imo, that's a whole point of community, find new info, exchange views and learn. And waste time

Should we all pitch in to a crowd fund to find the 10,000,000,000.00 asking price for the Lakers?
Or maybe one of us has that lying around already.

Seriously here: the Buss family spent 67.5M in 1979 and look to thus make 10B over 47 years of ownership. That is 212M in annual profit for this 67.5M investment.

And let's be real, whoever buys the Lakers for 10B will be able to sell it for 100B in 20-30 years. Owning a sports team is a great investment, even if there are LARGE annual losses in operating overheads. (The Lakers don't lose 1B a year. Thus, these aren't "losses")

Nothing helps parity more than reading how Lakers will now have unlimited budget

So the Nets have the 26th and 27th pick ( right after us ) in the draft and Juwan Howard is an assistant coach for them. Hmm out of curiosity is Jet Howard tradable right now or on draft night and could there be a deal to be worked out let’s say Jet for the 26th pick.

No one is going to take Jett unless we include a 1st

i dont think that is true...he makes only 5 mill ...no team ever gave a first to move a 1 yr 5 mill deal even if hurt for yr...yet alone a guy just 21 picked high in draft with the release he has...if that was case kcp cost 3 first to move and cole 2..and magic got bane for free

Other teams are willing to compensate the Nets for cap space. No way are they going to take a player who makes nearly $6m next season and hasn't shown any NBA ability yet.

Somewhat true...but not a frp.

Jett's not a terrible bet for a team that isn't in a hurry to contend. He's not guaranteed beyond next year and, despite the results, he's clearly got an NBA level skill - truly beautiful quick release from 3. I don't expect to get anything FOR him, but his contract isn't that daunting for a team like BRK unless they seriously think they're signing Lebron this summer without all of that cap space.

I'd say Jett and #25 might net us #26 and #36

Jett, Goga, Isaac & #25 for Claxton?

I doubt it. The Nets wouldn't give you anything at all for him. They wouldn't take him for free.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if Wolf & Clayton Jr ( pipe dream) were both available when the 25th pick comes around.

Wolf’s skill set is really unique and fits what we’ve got going on already with the plus side of a ball handling able passing big man with some 3 point capability. Getting off WCJ’s contract and drafting his replacement on a lower pay scale helps a lot.

We don’t need to elaborate much on Walter Clayton Jr, he would be a good Cole replacement for now and cheap contract.
