Mixed emotions for me, I admired Dwight so much for his virtue as a believer, much more than his ability as a player, but everybody sins and any sin can be forgiven.

I just don't want to see him give up on his faith because of this mistake.

People seem to be congratulating him. I think the negative comments are due to Dwight being a devote Christian who had unprotected sex with a woman out of wedlock. That sounds more like an oops or a gold digger on the prowl, than a God fearing Christian.

Now if he was married and the pregnancy was planned, everyone would probably be more positive/excited for him.

You know, I'm a very faithful christian, but it's not that reason I am worried about this. To me children out of wedlock just isn't a recipe for success. 9 times out of 10 the parents do not stay together and the child doesn't get the benefit of having that nice stable two parent home. But in Dwight's case he doesn't have a bunch of dirty laundry, and he's obviously not having any financial issues. Dwight seems to have a good head and I'm sure his parents will tudor him well. I just hope the child doesn't end up as a statistic of another split up couple.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

Last I checked, I thought the dancers weren't supposed to interact with the players lol. Opps.

Yup i think there are rules about that. But if they meet up after the game in a undisclosed location without telling anyone, there is nothing they can do about that. I bet this happens alot in many arenas.

Their own players, I think. She was working for Miami when she got pregnant.

I mean I'm not surprised that this happened. Now I don't want any religious people here taking this the wrong way. But not all church going folks practice what they preach if you know what I mean.

I always found it funny when theres a player screwing some random girl and then thanking God for his success on the court later on. Its like thanks God for the basketball skills and all that sex I get to have.

She was pregnant and Dwight knew he was going to be a father when he signed his contract this summer. I wonder if that played into his decision to go for the max years.

And did you think Dwight was one of those hypocrites?

I strongly doubt it. The Magic were gonna give Dwight the max regardless of anything, and the knowledge that he was gonna be father of a child to me didnt have an effect on negotiations.

Kind of surprising because of how religious he is, but then again, no one gives a crap about abstinence any more.

Well I think most NBA players have sex with random girls a lot. I don't think their religion matters. Its just something that goes on. I would bet that most of them screw around even the ones with wives. And religion tends to be a very hypocritical thing.

And I could really care less if Dwight knocks up 1000 women as long as he plays well on the court

Well, that's been a major part of his public persona, so it's hard not to make that connection.

Only because Dwight was really religious, and still is AFAIK.

But to be fair, anyone who thought he was a virgin is pretty damn sheltered.

I forgot to add, I think dwight willl make a great dad. Hopefully he's just kept everything private and honestly I don't really think it's any of our business. He's had an amazing season on the magic and that's all I care about.
