And that also makes Haslem expendable, by the way.

Given our history with Riley and that organization, does anyone really believe that we would be a decent trading partner with them? Noway, no how, not a chance, but I do like the proposed trade regardless.

Is Haslem really the starting PF that take the Magic to a title?

lol this is not a doeable trade you just want to blame otis for something else. theres no way miami would do this

I also throw in Season tix to disney and a Mickey Mouse autograph

IMO Haslem is the perfect PF for this team and I honestly don't think we could get better unless we trade more talent (hedo)

I hate how people are always so skeptical about sending a 1st round pick for 2 reasons, 1. It won't be lottery or near there and 2. We can't draft worth a crap

The trade proposal came from someone who seems to identify himself with the Atlanta Hawks.

Thats really classy of you to say... :noway: ... But anyway I think I can see this as trade that Miami looks into, As Riley said he wants to clear capspace and look into havin room to sign a free-agent. So this is a good step towards doing this and Haslem who is a valuable big isn't really a big star like what they hope to aquire with that space. This ofcourse isnt the only move that will send them to the free agent market hard this is just a step.

Plus like mattyBoi said Beasley is a superstar waiting to happen and we all know that Miami has the worst record in the league so drafting a player like Beasley, Donte Green, or even DeAndre jordan from Texas A&M would all make Haslem expendable.

I don't know how you took that, man, but there was no offense meant. You apparently inferred something from that that I didn't mean. I just was trying to point out that that particular trade was not reported in the Miami Herald article that is on on wiretap and quoted here -- that it was you who proposed the trade, not that article. I've never seen your posts before, and you never know why people pick the names they do.

And I can see why Miami might want to do a deal. I was just pointing out some negatives in the proposal for Orlando. 1). Smush Parker has not been a team player and has so angered management in Miami that they ordered him away from the team until they decided they at least would try to use him in a trade. 2). The trade would give the Heat cap space to improve their roster and make them much more competitive against both Orlando and Atlanta.

Haslem/Dwight is a sure shot for best front court in the NBA...if only you could win games with 2 players...

Miami won't do that with a division rival...I don't think. We'll do though.

We have to do that deal. Haslem is the perfect PF type to pair up with Dwight.

I think they would do this even if youre a division rival. Although its a good step for orlando in the right direction its a bigger step in Miami's direction as in its a step toward a big name free agent this summer

Haslem<<< Big name free agent

I like the trade but I am concerned about losing Dooling. Swap Dooling for Arroyo and I feel more comfortable. KDo's energy off the bench at the PG AND the SG position will not be replaced by Smoosh. If were going to be light at PG Id rather do it by keeping the Ninja.

Haslem is the perfect complement to Dwight. The only other guy I'd like more, that we actually might have a shot at, is Tyler Hansborough in next years draft. BTW, nbadraft.net has Hansborough projected to go in the late 20's in the 2009 NBA Draft. That would be a great addition.
