They have no obligation to play him. He was drafted by us and we pay him, and he will have his chance to leave and go somewhere else. Until then Orlando does not owe JJ anything but a weekly check.

So JJ didn't score 35 points in two minutes? I was lead to believe that he could by most of the people on here. He's hailed as the second coming of Diener but he's not a patch on the D-money.

Bingo.
Thanks, Cammo -- for putting it much more politically correct than I was going to.

Every time I read one of your posts, Emo music starts playing in the back of my head.
I don't know what that means, but I thought I'd share.

He came in with less than 3 mins left. Why would he let the game come to him with so little time left in the game, and with him having not played in a while?

They had a little huddle on the sideline before J.J. went into the game. The plan was only to get him the ball. They were forcing it so the other team could see he was going to get it. Even Garrity passed him the ball. I was shocked when Evans made that layup/dunk, but they gave him the ball right next to the basket. What might help Redick's game is if the Magic could open up and hold leads in a bunch of their remaining games so he actually can get on the floor more frequently. There might be a time when they have to have him during the playoffs and it certainly wouldn't hurt for him to get more experience in situations where there is no pressure on him first.

DDV (Greensboro, NC): Better future: JJ Redick or Adam Morrison?
SportsNation David Thorpe: (11:36 AM ET ) I'd go JJ.

why would orlando open up the floor for the 12th best player on the team?
better offensive players
1) howard
2) Lewis
3) Hedo
4) Evans
5) Bogans
6)Nelson
7) Arroyo
8 ) Dooling
9) Cook
Am i missing anyone? thats like opening up the game for the water boy, its equivalent. Mo Evans is playing real well, and bogans is doing fine. JJ redick is more Irrelevant the Mr. Irrelevant in college football.

If they got big leads and held them, then they could get him on the floor, and both goals could be accomplished: Magic win, and J.J. gets playing time. That's all I meant. That's why I said they had to be able to keep their leads.
