corey maggette, hedo, rashard, and dwight in the same lineup equals championship next year. seriously our offense would be unstoppable and the best in the league bar none. three 20 point permimeter scorers plus great range with dwight would just not be fair for the rest of the league. but is it actually possible to sign a player coming off a 22ppg season for just the mle?

I don't think so. The closest exception I could think of is this:

EARLY BIRD EXCEPTION -- This is a weaker form of the Larry Bird exception, and is also a component of the Veteran Free Agent exception. Players who qualify for this exception are called "Early Qualifying Veteran Free Agents" in the CBA. A player qualifies for this exception after playing two seasons without being waived or changing teams as a free agent.

But if he opts out and becomes a FA, the we have no rights on him. We could sign a 2 year MLE, and give him a handshake that we'll give him a bigger contract later on.

If we got Maggz and he took over sg and we kept our current starters we would be the highest scoring team in the league PPG Bar None.

Maggette is playing out of his mind this year. Man o man would I love to have him here
"And with Dwight, he's Moses Malone at 22, Shaq at 22 and Tim Duncan.

Maggette wanted to come back for some time now.

But The way he is playing, it would have to be atleast 6 million a year.

Jason williams would take the vet minimum.

I've wanted Corey back since we shipped him off with Derek Strong, the man is a stud and can't be prevented from driving to the hole.
And the great thing is, Corey has always stated that he'd love to comeback to O-Town. He said this even before Dwight was here.

Signing Corey with the full MLE = STEAL OF THE OFFSEASON. I don't give a damn what anyone does, that signing right there and keeping Hedo on this team once we extend him in 2 years is a thing of beauty.

It'd be superb to re-sign Mo and get rid of JJ and Kebo as we'd drop Arroyo, James, and Pat.
Ninja is up in the air with the Miami comments, but I'd gladly keep him over J-Will, we need Ninja's defense.
Barca will be begging us to help buyout Fran, just a matter of if the Spaniard is committed.
Then you get Batman playing again which solidifies every position. It doesn't matter if our PG spot could again be shaky with the team we'd have. PLUS, worse comes to worse, Hedo can handle the PG spot, I have no doubt about it.

The offseason possibilities are countless and Otis better start preparing now if he can get the ultimate return for this team. Screw the Draft research and start talking to Corey's agent.

Maggette would be nice.

Couldn't care less about Williams.

Need a couple big men in the offseason.

:-? What do you mean?

BTW, it was dumb giving Maggette guy up. I know that he was given up in order for LAC to take on Strong's contract but u dont just give up good young players like that.

Does anyone else compare Maggette to Ariza...Being young talent and just letting them go for basically nothing.

We seem to do that often...Ben wallace
