He's nothing but a smaller Shawn Bradley-type.

Orlando needs a rim protecting big man far more than they need a stretch 4. Porzingis as as good a prospect as any at the #5 spot but until we see more in workouts, there is A LOT of room for Magic fans to be critical of his fit on this team.

Man he's really skinny though, watching that video just highlights that even more, the key is for me is that weak side defense. If he's as good or will be as good as some of you think then that's all that matters to me. I think that offense for us isn't the problem, when a coach comes in that can have us running a real offense that won't be an issue anymore. Defense though is the tougher nut to crack, we need a coach that can come in with a great system but more importantly light a fire under this guys, a motivator because defense is part talent, part physical and all effort.

We need to get a coach in place first because that should be the first domino to fall, also said coach has to have some input on who we draft since that player will be apart of the system we got to know if that prospect fits the system.

Ding ding ding!! When we hire a coach, that is when the draft, possible trades, rotations, and resigning of players will start to happen. That is the first piece for us to take care us before anything else. Think once we see that happen, then we will be able to predict/speculate the next moves.

That's a great scouting video. What I'm worried about is him coming over here, having some culture shock, struggling for two years and everyone here absolutely losing it. Can he add weight? If so, it looks like he has the footwork and body control to be a defender, shot blocker, and a 3pt shooter. That is pretty unique.

He's skinny, has short arms, and can't jump....he is not our answer...we need a rim protecting beast that will shove
people around and not be pushed around. Man, I really hope we can land Cousins.

Yes he is skinny but he has good length and can jump if you don' think so, maybe you should watch more of him.

Yeah I don't know what he's watching... Good length, able to block shots/weak side shotblocker... And is a pretty damn good athlete for a guy who is over 7 feet tall. Plus he can shoot the basketball and space the floor, and seems to be improving in the post.

Obviously weight/strength is the issue... But once he hits the NBA after 2-3 years he'll probably gain weight necessary to bang down low.

I'm warming up to this guy. But he does seem soft, a wing player in a bigs body, possibly a tough fit. Bigs like Dirk and Anthony Davis are examples of how good these types can be.

i like that he's a floor spacing big, which is obviously something we need, but he's gonna have to get a lot better at drawing and finishing through contact.

i also like that everything i've seen suggests that he has the tools to become a good team defender and rim protector. i don't think he'll ever become a dominant defensive big, though.

i see him, at best, developing into the same sort of defensive player that bosh has been with miami, which obviously isn't bad and might be all we need depending on how elf, vic and a.g. develop defensively.

if what we need is someone who can come in and be a defensive anchor at the 4, then i don't think kristaps is going to be that guy.

I agree with ivDT, he's not the guy. Save the Euro stashes for the second round, no more first round investments. He's a tweener, and we have way too many of them already. Same goes for Lyles, same category that I'd stay away from.
