We already shoot the least amount of threes in the league. Sorry, but the math isn't on the side of "shoot substantially less threes than every other team". Our NBA shooters need to make NBA shots.
Like, it theoretically makes sense versus teams with zero paint presence at all and we're shooting a crazy high rate.. but everybody is struggling inside tonight outside of Suggs. If you compound that by taking less threes, the other team will pack the paint completely.
edit: I'd agree with the statement more if it was just like "Stop making threes your first option" - sure.
Yes, they are packing the paint and daring are us to shoot threes because we are godawful at them, we can try to prove them wrong as we are currently doing and failing miserably... or we can try to draw fouls where we excel at, even if its of course harder when the paint is so full, it's a chicken versus egg thing.
This looks like 20 pts defeat at home against a team without their best player by far...
