I suggest you and many others who don't understand how these things work take a look into the conditioning and fitness of WWE/AEW wrestlers who are constantly traveling and the ones who get time off to recover from bumps and bruises. I would suggest taking a look at Sheamus' youtube series about fitness.

The long and the short of it is that when these wrestlers are constantly traveling, practicing for the shows, doing fan meets, signing stuff, etc, it cuts into their ability to make any kinds of gains and typically leads to them losing conditioning. It also leads to the mirage of guys returning and looking like they "gained 15 pounds of muscle" because they are able to focus on the correct conditioning and having their body recover correctly, etc.

So having ~2 weeks time to work just on your body and conditioning without everything else getting in the way of doing it right could work wonders for someone who was shelved and unable to do anything for months.

But that's just it. Didnt we hold back Paolo even longer just so he could recover properly?

I thought the problem is conditioning? So isn't that weight and lungs?

BTW, if Paolo needed more time off for conditioning, I don't think think the FO would even blink in granting him a week or 2 off.

No idea. Don't know Paolo and every injury is different. Doctor that was on In The Zone after Paolo's injury said it was a 4-5 month recovery to being back to normal.

Concerns about paolos conditioning? Guess it's a Luka situation, now we have to trade him to the Lakers for Austin Reaves and a couple of 2nds

I didn't watch the game, but Paolo had zero rebounds? Zero? How is that a thing that happens? For a PF?

It wasn’t just a strain, it was a tear. And the core affects so much of the movement, it’s probably going to be next season until he feels back to normal.

I fell asleep at halftime for ONE west coast game and they play lights-out. Maybe I’m the problem.

I was able to stay awake for this game. Glad I did. Kings are by no means a defensive team, but I enjoyed the way Paolo played. Picking his spots to get aggressive, often looking for his teammates. Very composed. Only one dumb turnover that I remember. Franz was ON FIRE in the third.

This was the type of opponent we needed to get the offense going, poor defensive team with little rim protection, them having to incorporate Lavine mid-season also helped. But still we had to take advantrage of this on the court and we did, we attacked the rim all night and got easy buckets. Of course, actually making 3s at a good clip helped a lot too. We even had KCP made 2 corner 3s in the same game and Wendell made an above the break 3, this is probably the first game all season both things have happened on the same night. Franz shooting daggers from 3 is what decided the game in the 3rd quarter, when he can make 3s that's a complete game changer for our offense. Paolo looked much better, though still not quite 100%, he had his best passing game in a while. Black also played much better than int he last few games, he was agressive, got to the rim and made plays.

Wins a win. We need to blow this thread up to 50 pages of optimism.

AB bounced back by playing to his strength. Possibly due to weak opponent defense. Still though, 16ppg, couple assists, steal, 1-3 3-ball, and a "I know you can always do this" 6-6 Free throws.

So we can agree now that AB should never be sharing the floor with Paolo and Franz?

Hes an off the bench guy because his game is too similar.

So they drafted AB with a top lotto pick to be a bench guy. Thats what happens when your FO has no idea about roster construction and drafting based on correlating skill sets.

A bench guy in year two. A starter in year four.

Oh so his skillset will be completely different in 2 years?

What other elements is he going to be adding to his game?

The dragon is named "player development".
