The only thing I'm even slightly concerned about with Şengün is his size and how that will impact him on the defensive end. He's probably a little over 6'9" barefoot with a little over 7'0" wingspan. Unfortunately that's a little bit under the prototypical center measurements and more in the really good PF measurements range.

If he was a taller and longer, I'd probably have him as the No. 1 overall prospect.

But skillswise? He's absolutely fantastic. He is the closest thing to Jokic that I've ever seen.

Passing. Rebounding. Ball handling. Foul drawing/flopping. Finishing around the basket. FT shooting. He does it all at a high level and he's only 18 years old. So it stands to reason that all of the things he's already good at are only going to improve.

The only thing he doesn't do offensively at a high level right now is shoot threes, but his stroke from midrange and the FT is so good that it seems inevitable that 3PT shooting coming in due time. Jokic didn't become a good 3PT shooter until he was 22 in his third NBA season.

I am very confident that 3-4 years of Şengün drilling his 3PT shot with NBA skill development guys with a stroke that's already that natural is going to yield results.

Defensively is where the question marks lie. He's not super long and he's not super quick so he's probably not a switch guy and he's probably not going to be an elite rim protector.

But if he's ends up as good as I think he can be offensively, then he just needs to get to a solid level as a team defender and he'll be fine.

Where I'm optimistic about him defensively is his activity level. Şengün recorded 1.9 STL/40 and 2.2 BLK/40. Those numbers are just miles ahead of guys like Enes Kanter, Kevin Love, Domantas Sabonis and Nikola Vucevic, four of the more common names Şengün is compared to as a negative. Will it translate? I don't know. But I know he's just been much more active and racked up way more counting stats defensively than other negative defenders he's been compared to.

Outside the consensus top 4, Sengun is on a short list of players that I'd be happy to end up with on draft night. I wouldn't really care about the draft position he's picked. The Magic could take some combination of Barnes/Segun/Bouknight between 5 and 8 and I'd walk away from draft night satisfied. I'm kind of on the fence with Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, and Keon Johnson. But, there's some combo of players that includes them that I could see working out for us. Sengun is going to come in with a baseline level of skill and offense that this team desperately needs that I'd feel some sort of patience allowing someone like Johnson or Kuminga or Moody developing. I won't be upset or shocked if Sengun is picked 5th. Two weeks since the lottery, and the possibilities at the 5th pick are far more wide open than I initially believed.

Really?
Interesting to hear!
Why you choose Keon and Franz?

Franz is pretty underrated!

not sure Franz is underrated, but i view him as a glue guy. He doesnt do anything elite or spectacular. Good passer, okay but not great shooter, good defender, no first step, below average athleticism. Great glue guy, but someone you would expect to go early teens

Imo Franz is underrated.
I watched a lot of Michigan games cause i want to follow my countryman.
He is a skilled player, good bbiq.

Playmaking upside is there - solid passer, high feel for the game.
For a guy with his size he also is talented in PNR.

Barnes and Wagner are not that different just that Wagner is the better shooter!

Franz has a good first step from what I've seen. I also like that he's a team player that doesn't hold the ball.

Isaiah Mobley with the 33rd pick seems interesting.
