On one hand, Westbrook remains an explosive and indisputably productive offensive talent. He averaged 27.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 7.0 assists in 35.9 minutes per game last season—only LeBron James and Oscar Robertson have averaged at least 27-7-7 in more seasons than Russ—while leading the league in drives to the basket per game, ranking second in transition points per game, taking nearly half of his shot attempts directly at the rim, and shooting a career-high 51.4 percent on 2-point tries. He can also still break down the defense and create high-value looks for teammates. Only 20 players assisted on more baskets at the rim last season, and only three—Luka Doncic, LeBron, and Ben Simmons—set up more 3-pointers, according to pbpstats.com.

To those of us non betting people... do we have the best odds???

Also, why were we mentioned in the RW trade destination? Did we even publicly show some interest? Or arw NBA writers have nothing to talk.about and just throwing stuff around?

It's in order of the odds, so we have 2nd best. Just divide the number on the left by the one on the right, the lower the answer the better chance it happens.

He ran off Durant, now running from Harden. after 30 games here i can see him not liking losing and being a distraction. add in his physical play at 32 with 3 years around $43mil/yr. no thanks unless we are getting something else to go along with Russ

I agree with physical play at his age. Don't think he could continue for another 3 years.

I disagree with the rest. I think the KD leaving was a small part Russ' style of play but more so KD chasing some demons in his head. Dude will never be happy or satisfied with what he has. As for Harden....rumor is Russ isn't a fan of the star treatment Harden has in Houston. No accountability; as also said by several other Rocket players. If Russ came here, as long as Vuc is here, i don't think it would be bad. He'd be the alpha, with no other alphas on the team, and everyone's role would naturally align within the proper hierarchy.

What do these odds Truly mean? Have we been linked to him at all? Where do they come uo with these numbers? I'm confused when I see us as the second best odds to land him but yet I haven't seen our franchise linked to trade rumors about him at all. Hmmmmm

Because bettors are going to bet and everyone that knows anything about the NBA knows how pointless our present condition is. It seems a certainty that Westbrook will be traded and there won’t be much of a market. Look at the other three teams atop the list. That’s our crowd. I wonder if Cleveland is feeling slighted by their ommission.

Oh F it. Let' get Westbrook.

Aminu, Evan, Fultz see yaa !

Use MLE to draft shooter ( Knightro already proposed Holiday) and resign DJ and mCW

But let's get even wilder. Westbrook, Covington and Tucker for Evan, Gordon, Fultz and Aminu.

Magic projected 5

Westbrook-Ross- Covington- Tucker- Vuc
DJ/ MCW/ Holiday/ Okeke/ Bamba

3 point galore confirmed

I don't care if we need to throw 15# pick in, if not, just draft whoever can shoot at 15#

The thing is, this team will probably win 48 games on East and will have really one of better pick&roll actions with Vuc-Wes connection. Tucker, Covington and Ross will space the floor and keep defenders honest, also they play some tough defense.

Next year Vuc gets worst, Wes gets slower but Isaac is there to bridge a gap. Freaking Covington and Isaac at SF- PF? Damn that's some elite defense

It's not the worst of trades if Russ can remain healthy and productive as he was. Not sure where chips fall in east having Raptors, Bucks, Heat, Celtics, Sixers and Nets in the mix. We're probably not in top 4, but we should be in game for 5-6 seed. Definitively improvement. Just no more bottom dwelling, please.

I can’t believe how quickly I’ve talked myself and into the idea of Russell freaking Westbrook.

Even if it doesn’t work (and it most likely wouldn’t), it would at least be entertaining.

That's where I'm at too. Am I really able to accept the next few years would be effectively toasted in exchange for watching Westbrook? After the last decade, I don't think I'd truly hate it lmao

First i dont think we like Edwards. He is nothing like prospects we drafted . Second, there is a chance we miss playoffs next year, 2021 frp are really valueable based on perceived draft strength.

I have no appetite for building through draft anymore, really. And this particular one I'd stay away from top 10 picks, no wonder half of them is trying to trade down.

I'm waiting for what happens with all the other teams that get a superstar in a trade. Magically they get other stars to come and all their trash gets put on the curb and another team takes them. It's our turn.

As for missing the playoff

I m not sure if this has been mentioned here before but the NBA is trying to limit travel during the 2020-2021 season and they are planning to get teams play a lot within their division

From what I ve heard, we would play

8 times Atlanta Hawks
8 times Charlotte Hornets
8 times Miami Heat
8 times Washington Wizards

so that 32 games against Southeast teams

and 40 games against the rest of the league

we should be able to end up with 60% win rate against southeastern teams

How's is Paul George perceived in LA? They looking to trade him? I know the locker room wasn't feeling him, but I wonder if they'd look to flip him for an upgrade somewhere.

What if we send AG, Fournier (opt-in), #15 to OKC.

OKC sends CP to Clippers

Clippers send PG to Orlando

Maybe we swap OKC for Houston and get Russ to LA? I'd we do Hou, try to send Chief instead of AG.

Idk - just trying to find some luck in obtaining top guy to pair with Vooch and Fultz.

Fournier + 15 for Oladipo?
