Starters:
PG: 37yo old Jason Kidd goes 7.9/8.2/4.4
SG: DeShawn Stevenson goes 5.3/1.1/1.5
SF: Caron Butler/Shawn Marion split for a ~13/1/1.5
C: Tyson Chandler goes 10.1/0.4/9.4

Bench led by a very good Jason Terry at 15.8/4.1/1.9
And fudge all else off of the bench.

And the Mavs won a title riding Dirk Nowitzki in a I-won't-lose mentality.

My favorite title run ever!

Dirk with a cold , still too ice cold for Lebron 8-)

While I have nothing but respect for Dirk he had to get once in a life time hot at just the right time for just the right period to bring that home. It's a classic case of 2 things being true at the same time. Lightning striking the same person 2x. And so on.

He still should be revered as one of the greatest players. (Dirk.)

Similarly with the hype around Jokic. I wasn't buying his stock at first, but now he is no Jok....he is Jokic. Too early to say he will make finals and win another championship and if he does yes this would lock him higher on many peoples tier lists. Even my own.

Yea... after watching his bricks for 10 years, guy started balling at age of 31 with solid BBIQ & good shot selection

btw 8 MEN LINEUP. That's playoff formula. Can we NOT next time in playoffs play 11 men in first 3 games and bull**** around?

I've always said that the T-Wolves biggest issue was their immaturity. They've improved in that area every year since getting Ant.

The crazy part is what you said -- that Randle has turned things around for himself by showing up in the playoffs like never before. That's brought a calmness and, as a result, some maturity to their team.

Plus you read about Randle telling Ant to "be great," which is having its effect of Ant becoming more of a leader.

We'll see if it translates to getting out of the West, but either way, they've leveled up since last season.

Dirk was always great player but never top 3-ish player in the world, than in 2011, for that period of playoffs he played like best player in the world.

Where Jokić is clear cut best player in the world for pass 4-5 years at least. And there is nobody to overtake that any time soon.

Would be nice, though I hate to see Tatum get hurt. If he was healthy I think they certainly would have at least one more year near the top.

They have finished top 4 in the East 8 of the last 9 years. Before that 4 years of being an OKish team and before that the title winning Garnett/Allen/Pierce teams. Crazy how that Garnett/Pierce trade set them up for this recent run where it feels like they have been in the mix for a title every year.

They probably still make the playoffs next year unless they trade some of their better players. If they do trade some of their better players maybe they will somehow win the lottery in an elite top end talent draft. Dybantsa was born in Boston :o

The east is wide open next year with Tatum out. This is Magic opportunity to go for it. Franz and Paolo are ready, just need help.

Quality wise horrible playoffs. Only interesting if you like new teams going far. The rest is only healthy vs injured teams. Denver vs OKC really the only highlight.
For us probably good, because the 2 best east teams now have serious question marks, financially and roster structure wise. Because of that maybe more interesting players are available now.

I'm definitely rooting for him to win it this year. Much more interesting story than a top 3 player surrounded by the by far best and deepest supporting cast in the leaque to win it. Denver New York finals would be nice. Joker vs Brunson would be pretty entertaining.

I highly doubt that Knicks/Pacers can win more than a game against any of 3 potential finals teams from West.

Refs allow more physicality and games turned into wrestling matches.

but hey, Knicks in finals = money printing for nba and all the owners.

Yea they are the much worse teams but I trust Brunson 4th quarter heroics more than the Pacers to win 1 or 2 games.

Last year's Pacers v Knicks series ended in 4 blowouts in 7 games

Tbh my finals are game 7 OKC vs Nuggets.

Nuggets somehow winning title without GM and coach will be hilarious.

Edwards winning title as best player at 23 kill lot of " years of develoment" arguments.

This is why we have to be smart wth how we build our team, the 2nd apron is no joke, we cant have another player making more than 25M otherwise we ll have to break our core within 2 years, if you get that guard for less than 25 M, we can keep our core players for many many years , no need to explode everything if you have an injury

Well, in 2005-06 and 2004-05 he led the league in win shares and came third in the MVP vote both years. And: again leading the leagie in win shares for 2006-07, he won the MVP that year. But then he fell like a stone to only be a top-10 player for the subsequent five years. LOL
