I absolutely LOVE this new team....I think it's way better than our current team. And it works for all teams involved (I would say maybe not for Houston, but like Ive said...they already greenlighted these moves in the previous Lakers-CP3 trade for some bizarre reason. It adds in a good defensive SF for GSW in Metta, which Mark Jackson would probably like a lot, as well as giving them young talent and shooters in Ryno+JJ. What do you guys think? Would you like it, and why or why wouldn't it get done?

:o

Is that the only response? I was lookin for some actual responses lol. It's not that different from what the CP3 trade was gonna be. Hell, maybe we could toss in J-Rich at the trade deadline as well to sweeten the deal for GSW, maybe take back Biedrins for our backup C slot. I don't think this is a crazy trade at all....I think all teams seemingly benefit or get something they've been after, which is very rare.

If we made that trade, we'd still have a chance at winning the East. Bynum/Gasol/J-Rich/Jameer/JJ/ is a great core.

ummm maybe because Bynum has yet to play a full season. maybe because it would destroy the franchise if Bynum turns into another grant hill situation. those are just a few things that come to my mind besides his "potential".

That's not better than Brook Lopez and two first round picks?

To be clear, the Clippers can waive Chauncey Billups and make him a free agent. They can't trade him.

I would much rather we took the rebuild approach rather than try to compete with Pau/Bynum. The Lakers didn't come close last year AND they had Kobe..

Can you imagine a rebuild approach with Stan as the HC?

Hopefully the Magic organization has seen what NOH was able to get with CP3 so they change there mindset on the offers we have been getting..

I've been wondering this too.

Dwight is obviously a better player than CP3 but NOR is getting much better offers than we are.

Keep in mind Howard`s list, the Nets got Lopez and that is it, Mavericks got nothing, the best deal probably would come from the Lakers.

Not a big deal. I didn't want the Heat to pick him up.

Yes, but watch NY swoop him up

Edit: Sorry, forgot he was injured. Probably not.

Right....and then hopefully flip Pau to Houston for what I've said: Martin+Scola+Dragin+picks. Check my trades above. Otis is too dumb to try to pull something awesome like that off though.

Guys I have been along time reader of this forum and only recently started to reply to some of the threads.
I must admit that it is strongly due to Dwight being discussed in many trade rumors.
With all this speculation flying due to this I have been inclined to start dropping my 2 sense worth.
I do not like any of the trade proposals we have been receiving ie..Lopez young and not even close to the caliber player offensively as Dwight even though his low post game and blocks are pretty good. Bynum and/or Gasol together minute wise and skill would equal Dwight through Off and Def but they would not be used at the same time.
I truly don't believe a fair trade is out there for a even return. If it were me I would honestly just allow D12 to walk or commit to us. At least we are in control and we are prepared for the outcome. Shed what we can and prepare to re-build.
AS I do not believe most, if not anything in the media, I am inclined through my own heart and mind that D12 is as good as out of here. This i truly believe is what he wants. Its the lack of news and admission on his and the organizations part that we all still cling to hopes he may return as an Orlando Magic player.
I for one am an Orlando Magic fan and have been since their inaugural year (1989) and I wish to STOP all this DAM nonsense and get on with it already. I want something to cheer for. This is sports. It is meant to entertain and I right now am not entertained. I feel like I lost my dog of 16 years and it isnt fun anymore talking , reading and listening anymore.
I'm a realist and when something is outta my reach I grab for something that I can!

What is very interesting about that trade is perhaps still having an opportunity to pursue D-Will afterwards? Idk if that's possible, but no Dwight in Brooklyn means no D-Will either. D-Will, K-Mart, and Bynum would compete in the East.

Skill wise Bynum is great but he gets hurt every 5 seconds. How can you want a guy who is constantly injured??????? The last four seasons straight Bynum has missed a ton of time. How can you put faith in this guy not getting hurt? I would only want Bynum if you can guarantee me that he wont get hurt. Which cant be done.

Wow, that'd be an awesome trade. The core of our team would be made up of Bynum/Scola/Martin/J-Rich/Jameer/JJ

We'd definately be a top tier team with that core!

If we're trading Dwight, I think it would be stupid not to do it now. Unless we're getting a good pick in return for 2012's draft.
