Yeah, because five turnovers in nine minutes is just what we need from our backup PG.

Duhon sucks, but J'Rich's bricked dunk started the whole thing.

It wasn't duhon's 3 straight to's????????????????

I doubt it was JRich's missed dunk that caused the comeback dude.

He makes the dunk, they go up 29-11. Everyone wants to blame Duhon (rightly so) but that was a momentum swing, whether you want to admit it or not. Instead Washington comes down, gets a three point play - a five point swing right there.

I just stating the reality. It is tough to expect a coach to instantly put a guy with no real nba history. Who's career in the league has not been good so far. I think when Stan looking at another PG he thinking maybe we should trade for a Sessions. Few weeks ago maybe we should sign Nate Robinson. You saw the Bulls get Mike James. He might even be looking at Jwill at courtside and say maybe we need to see what kind of shape he is in.

I'm not saying Ish can't play. I'm just stating Stan going to look and say is Smith better than Duhon. Even as bad as Duhon has been it isn't like he is much different than when we gave him a big contract. His weaknesses and strengths are still the same. So it is going to be tough to justify Smith in front of Duhon in the rotation. He going to look at Duhon and see a pretty good assist to turnover ratio. Shooting near 40% from 3. Not the worse on defense. I know he probably knows Duhon sucks but he has to be convinced that Ish is better than that. Tough to do when you have a 41% career TS.

He had 3 straight turnovers. He does that often. Ish would not. I would bet on it. And even if he did, what's the worst that can happen? 4 straight turnovers for ish? I would take my chances with ish after what duhon has shown us this year.

You know, just getting Duhon off this team would be a massive improvement for us. I'm dead serious.

I would have agreed with you if we missed shots. Duhon didn't even allow his team to get shots up.

what is so hard to understand. Duhon sucks, ish has some potential. Your team suffers when duhon plays, ish, if he tried can not be that bad. So what does svg do: ride it out with duhon. If he could change his loyalty for his players to play whoever is giving you the best chance to win I think the magic would have a legit lock on the 3rd seed.

From what I've heard from Stan, Stan asked for Ish. He went to Otis and asked for him. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I know Stan asked for specific skills, Otis found some people, and either Stan signed off, or Otis did it on his own, but Ish was signed based on what Stan requested. They made this decision with needs in mind. Like I said in my earlier response, I think there is an over emphasis on our 2nd string point guard and the skills needed to be one. That doesn't mean Duhon gets a pass for sucking. We do need speed and penetration to counter our 2nd unit's inability to move the ball in towards the rim. Duhon doesn't offer than, Ish does. He's shown it.

That's the reason this is frustrating for me. Stan asked for Ish, got him, when he's played he's been much better than Duhon, yet we still see Duhon. We don't have 3 years to evaluate Ish. Might not even matter in 2 weeks.

I dont really care that much tbh but I disagree. Duhon was born swinging the momentum the wrong way.

I think Nelson's value around the league is much higher than any of us tend to think. If he does get moved, I think we'll be surprised what he brings.
