Do you envision Jameer becoming the 6th man? Are he and Afflalo just going to give up 10MPG a piece each?

Quite honestly, I see Jameer as the odd man out. The organization seems to back Afflalo so I really do think Jameer will be coming off the bench and Oladipo gets 20 mpg at the pg spot and 12-15 mpg at sg.

Nah, it wouldn't "surprise" me to see Jameer as the starter but I think Oladipo has that "it" factor and should be a starter. Like I said, he's not a 18 year old rookie. The guy is 21. Imagine if Portland decided to bench Lillard just because he was a rookie last year.

At the end of the day, I just think Oladipo is better than Jameer today.

I don't think he's anywhere near as good as Jameer right now. He is 21, and thus has about 9 years less NBA experience than Jameer. Like above said, likely he gets injured anyway and we get our wish for Oladipo to start, but don't see it happening day 1. Although that reminds me of that story about Jameer telling someone to stop playing full court press during a game because it was excessive. Maybe Meer just lays it down and floats through camp and gets sent to the bench. Let's not forget the guy is the team captain. The Blazers had jack squat at PG for Lillard to take a backseat to.

I am not for or against any action, just looking at the personnel we have right now. As stands, I see him at 25MPG. They will not bench the team captain for a rookie who is just starting to play PG.

No doubt, Jameer is better a quite a bit of things but overall, Oladipo would take it to him. And yeah, I remember Jameer crying about Bradley picking him up full court and embarrassing him

My point about Lillard was about not letting a guy develop to their full potential. If Jameer is going to be the undisputed starter and captain, that means that he should also be closing games out while our #2 pick watches from the bench late in games. That just doesn't sit right with me.

Say what you will about Jameers limitations and faults, but he is still one of only a handful of guys in the league who can take over a quarter... I can't see any circumstance where Jameer doesn't start... Now his minutes will surely go down but that's not a bad thing for his health. Next year is a different story, or hell I can see Jameer being moved at the deadline to a contender needing a 6th man or an emergency pg replacement. I hope Jameer is around to win a ring with our next shot though.

With his normal average he is like 50th in the league with mpg as a pg starter. He's likely at the bottom if the pack of minutes as a starter, if not the lowest.

He had a major outlier last season with 35 mpg but will do 28-30 again next season. That is still 12 minutes for dipo and 6 for Moore. Maybe it ends up with him getting 14 from meer and 12 from afflalo. The only other move is afflalo to the 3 but ugh.

It just seems pretty clear that Meer's body can't hold up for more than 25mpg at this point. As you pointed out, that's only a 3-4 minute reduction from his career average. That leaves 23 minutes for Dipo at PG, and he can swing over and play 10-12 minutes at SG when Meer is in the game and AA is resting.

So it would be a three-man guard rotation with Meer, Dipo, and AA. Moore would (deservedly) be the odd man out.

They're both 6'4, I'd say Arenas is easilly 6'4 and had better handles.

Victor is exactly an inch taller then Arenas in shoes. Arenas was 6-2 1/4" barefoot
