And commentary team already said that there are lot of players like Jimmer Ferdette that simply don't translate.

Even before yesterday's game I read something from John Collins saying, Trae was a good player but it'll take some time to get adjusted to the speed of the game. I'm assuming they saw this in practice this week also.

I mean it's true everything is faster in SL, court is bigger, guys are bigger but he is beyond terrible. In 6 quaters of playing he is 5-28 from the floor with 2-14 for 3 and has 5 assists . Some of his assists were complete failure of his teammates however on defense he gives you nothing. He guards that white boy who does nothing but stand on 3 point line, yet he somehow lost him 3 times in 1 quater , guy doesn't even run, just walks around.
in transition Spurs PF ( white one ) outrunned him .
Twitter is blowing up with bust comments, somwhere Cuban is laughing his a** off.

Pepe, its one game, I know you are dying to be right about this guy being a bust, but cmon..lol. I think we all knew this could happen though. He is an extreme boom or bust type pick, no doubt about it. But I’d like to give him a little more time than just one summer league game.

2 games -5-29 from the floor, guy has floaters blocked because he is too small and literally can't jump over paper.

I'm on tweeter and there are like 10 new tweets per second where people point out how beyond terrible he looks so it's not just me (i don't tweet anything , i just read  )

For his sake , he should pray so hard that Schroder is starting PG on opening night to take pressure off him ,maybe spend
some time in G league in rookie year because if he gets out there from day one as starter he will be destroyed, teams will just roll over him.

And this is G league level of competition and he looks like somebody who simply can't get his shots off because lenght bothers him ,that won't get any better in regular season.
Maybe play him as off ball guard ? Spot up shooter?

by next Curry maybe experts thought Seth [img]

Its like you didn’t even read what I said..

Well if he does end up being a bust ( we don’t know that yet), I am glad we dodged that bullet. What sucks is ATL fans knowing they had Doncic.

Yea, Hawks are easly worst roster of 2018-19. Complete lack of talent.

He's not magically going to get more athletic to compete with these guys anytime soon. Just imagine when he has to go up against NBA players.

I've been reading their board and listening to some of their podcasts and they're hurting.

Their entire draft was very risky. All focused on shooting. No grabbing of guys any other skill set. Schrenk is going to need to hopea really good scheme is installed or these guys will all get crowded at the line and be forced to attacking the rim, which wont be pretty.

Wow, thanks I had no idea! Lol. that was always the big concern with him, we all know this.

What he will do is learn the game a little more and get better at picking his spots. Will that translate to getting better? We don’t know yet, but he clearly is struggling now.

Reminds me of the GM from Minnesota focused on getting PG's, he drafted Rubio, Johnnie Flynn, both ahead of Steph Curry.

They are going with the .... "draft shooters and hope that they develop the size and/or athleticism over the years" model... lol....to each their own! :-D

Length is clearly bothering him out there right now. Looks uncomfortable getting his shot up over defenders and is getting alot of his shots blocked. I think he has the ability to adjust, but this might be a brutal first couple years for him. That is not a good roster and a lot of pressure is going to be on Young to attack and carry that team offensively. I don't think he is ready for that.

Young’s passing and vision has been really good so far. His ability to split the trap and use hesitation dribbles to get in the lane has also been good.

He just has had a brutal time finishing once he gets there and generally hasn’t shot well on the perimeter either. But two games is such a tiny sample size.

He does look like he’s giving a lot more effort defensively than he did in college already, so that’s a good sign.

most of young’s struggles has been due to the physicality of the league. its not like no one said he wouldnt struggle with it.

as colangelo would say it “find a new slant” haha
