Sabonis is probably best backup big in nba right now

Happy for D Rose¸ against Crowder, Gobert, Mitchell, Exum and Rubio, really impressive.

I kid. Sounds like he stepped into the hot tub time machine on 'em. Happy for him.

Dream scenario we land RJ Barrett, trade Vuc for a early to mid 20's pick and draft Ja Morant and draft Josh Reaves with Cavs pick and Admiral Schofield with BKN 2nd.

Than in the offseason we buyout Mozgov and sign Rozier, Patton, Ellenson and Lydon.

Rozier, Morant, Briscoe
Barrett, Fourneir, Reaves
Isaac, Schofield, Furkan
AG, Lydon, Jackson
Bamba, Birch, Patton

This would be a young and talented team to develop next season and also trade Simmons for Furkan and a 2021 2nd. Oldest player at 27 will be Fournier with everyone else being in the 20-24 range.

What an incredible, out of nowhere game for Derrick Rose. Cool to see that happen for him after all his injuries.

He had been AWFUL before last night too. Came into the game shooting .385 and .263 from three.

He was petitioning for the Magic to draft him. Instead we picked a false bravado bench player from Barcelona.

Yeah, he's going to be REALLY good. Plays very adequate defense too.

Remember when Sabonis was a write-off because he had short arms? I was told short-armed people can't play basketball and that having long arms makes you amazing. Funny thing is one of the rare good picks we made was made by another GM

Full disclosure I have not heard/read anything about him until today when I saw someone here post his latest stat line.

It's not really an either/or though. I see length as an asset, but Sabonis was my guy in that draft because I thought he was the best player among those that might be around when we picked.

I know that wingspan has begun to take on a negative connotation around here because a few people keep using it to attack the competency of our decision-makers as it relates to our draft picks, but I really don't believe that Weltman is that narrow-minded in his approach. I loved the Isaac pick and I still do. I didn't love Bamba as a prospect, but he was probably the highest upside pick left on the board.

There are so many things that he does well, kid has a great basketball IQ. Good passer, great screener & PnR player, quick on his feet, makes good decisions in a short amount of time. Fantastic rebounder too. That being said, he'd be an even scarier player if he had more length. But there are no perfect players.

Dom Sabonis is best backup big in nba by wide margin.
Given how Turner plays he is probably deserving to be starter but off bench he is OP.
