Why shouldn’t I be all in on Tyrese Maxey?

I had been calling for us to trade up for him.... Yeah sorry I'm out on that now

WOAH. I was in the same boat as you. But to share that type of stuff right before you get drafted....yikes.
To be fair, it could be because he doesn't want to be in Minnesota and he's trying to scare them so he could drop to the Warriors. We know these young athletes only want Cali, Miami, or NY.
Well, I hope it backfires spectacularly on him.
Never wanted this kid from the moment I saw his Mike Schmitz interview and this confirms it.

i thought about waiting to watch draft and figured it will turn in ***t fest anyway
As for trade itself, it's obvious that front office has zero desire to carry more than 2 rookies. I'ts their policy, i respect it. I find too young teams being disaster more often than not

But by saying he's not into basketball alienates him from all NBA teams. I was high on that kid but wow what an idiot. Edwards might be playing his cards. Maybe he doesn't want to go NO.1 to the Minny

It does alienate everyone. But not a team that could have promised him they would take him. If you were expected to be the first pick and didn't want to go to the team that had the number 1 pick, and number 2 was a team that not only promised to take you, but was in a city you would want to go to, wouldn't you say you weren't into Basketball?
I wouldn't be surprised to hear GS say they were taking him and Edwards team telling GS that they would try to drop his stock so he would "fall" to them. We've seen shady stuff like that before.
I personally wouldn't care where I was drafted. But you know the minds of these NBA players. Especially at that age.
God. Family. Country. Basketball.

Did anyone listen/read the whole interview with Edwards? I mean CONTEXT PEOPLE. We all know media these days. Some are saying they purposely cut that to make him seem bad.
To those that did , listen the whole interview, what are your thoughts?

I feel like an abused dog on draft night. I've been conditioned for disappointment. The last decade of Magic drafts have brought me nothing but sheer disappointment. It's hard to even get excited anymore. It's not just the inactivity of the team, but even when they're active (2016 draft day trade of Oladipo and Sabonis for Ibaka) there's pain.

Same. at least with Otis before we were excited becasue our 2nd rounders actually contributed like Gortat and etc.
Now, we know we won't have 2nd round and we always take lonboi bigs for our 1st.

Because there are a lot of better choices before him? Matter of perspective I guess.
