Atleast the Magic showed some toughness late, would have liked thru out. Maybe next year we'll be able to compete with Mem.

Really good comeback here. Shouldn't have fouled though that would have been a nice three point loss

BTW, I love Suggs but we messed up by not drafting Giddey. Can't win 'em all and maybe he doesn't develop as well without SGA but he's looking awesome. Shot and all.

Yea that shooting guard spot needs to be upgraded this off-season. No question about it

They didn't try to get into the paint enough early and missed a ton of threes but The Magic fought till the end.
Very good signs for next season as the end of this one nears.

It's ok to bring guys off the bench provided there's a clear role for them to play. Backups can still play 25+ MPG, ya know?
Cole's playing 26 MPG right now at guard. A versatile big/forward could carve out plenty of minutes here.
Didn’t get a chance to reply to this before. What’s wrong with working Hendricks in with a lineup that already has WCJ, Paolo and Franz? He’d bring shooting, blocks, rebounds and smart passing.
People seem to get too hung up on traditional roles and position names. We play a zone and switch a lot, so defensively Hendricks wouldn’t hurt anyone. Offensively, we would have 4 guys 6’8 or taller with all 4 being capable shooters so the mismatch would be in our favour.

I will always advocate for Franz to rest his ankles but he impresses me every time. I just don't get how he can play through that pain.

I just don’t think upsizing is the way to go defensively.
I think Franz and Paolo will and have at times this year both struggled trying to chase smaller, quicker players.
Paolo’s not really a good defender against anybody small or big right now and Franz is better suited to defend guys who are more his size that aren’t blazingly quick like when he did a very good job on Brandon Ingram.
This idea of a big lineup is better than how it actually works in a practical sense. At least that’s my two cents.

Fair. It’s a bit of a game of compromises and trust in future development. If Paolo and Franz are gonna play big then they need to put a lot more work in on the boards and rim protection. That’s going to hurt us down the line in crunch situations if we can’t secure rebounds the way it did with Vuc and Gordon. We’re also going to need a good big who can cover WCJ for games missed. The options become much less versatile after Hendricks and Walker, imo.
We could split the diff and go for someone like Amen Thompson or Anthony Black who can both lockdown a perimeter and have the size to crash boards and get opportunistic blocks - but they don’t bring the shooting we need.

Where would you pick up Hendricks? If we have the pick at 7 or 8, would you draft Taylor Hendricks?
Again, I'd love to pick Top 3 so we can have a chance at Brandon Miller. But again, it is lottery

Didn’t they also poach that shooting coach from the Spurs?
