He may never have put the jersey on, but he was on the team. Victor and Tobias in their prime were good players. Ibaka trade was an even bigger travesty than Mario, Fran and Chuma combined.

Wasn’t Sabonis traded draft night or something? He was never a magic. And never understood the outrage over Victor and particularly Harris. They weren’t guys you built your team around, they were better off 3rd, 4th options. Building around them was like building around Vuc, Evan, and AG.

It wasn't ever about building around Oladipo or Harris necessarily. It was about cashing in still valuable assets for win now pieces and not winning.

Thompson’s athleticism is insane. He has so much talent and potential, I hope the shot comes in for him even though he’s not on our team.

Pretty much, I wouldn't be throwing much of a fit about trading them if we got a fair return

Pivoting outta nowhere to win now was premature and our team peaked at 42-40

I agree part of the outrage was the package received; however, there was a lot of outrage that they were even traded. People made it seem like we were trading away superstars. Given the only role players in my eyes I didn’t mind the packages.

Shouldn't the score be 123-91? Bally is awful they have it still at 123-89.

I was so sad when we weren't able to draft Cade but now i feel it worked out for us with Franz and PB instead. I mean we still need a pg but it's not all doom and gloom anymore.

thanks for recognizing this, i've been trying to say this on the pistons' forum but everyone is hellbent on blaming monty, as if any coach in the league could make this roster respectable.

it's not monty's fault that half the players can't catch a pass, play with no physicality, have low bball IQ and/or generally so lacking in skill. they'll hopefully make major changes but in the meantime i'm probably just going to watch magic and pacers games. i consider myself a pretty die-hard pistons fan i'm not going to torture myself.

I really like Ausar, but the shooting piece is even worse than I expected and hoped for him.

And it sucks because he does a lot of things really well and he's clearly an A+ athlete, but he is just such a poor shooter.

I feel ya. Magic were in a similar position with our first rebuild. Sometimes it just doesn't work out for whatever reason. I honestly think your best bet would be to package this next draft's high pick for an established star or blossoming player who wants out + 1 or 2 young guys who don't have a future and pair them with Cade + bring in some FAs.

It's either that or fully commit to the young guys... but I don't know if your fanbase could stomach a few more years of younger players learning the game and piling up losses.

Bojan and Burks scared me coming into this though, always kill the Magic.

I feel bad for you guys. Your team seems very directionless. I like Thompson and a few other guys that you have. But a lot of your player's playstyles are so redundant that nobody really compliments each other on top of the bad BBIQ.

You guys have so many players that need the ball in their hands for development and its not really working out well.

There's likely trades coming for you guys to get better IQ and complimentary pieces that know their role, but the Pistons right now are a real mess.

Cant they develop him like we did with Franz? As a rookie I never thought of Franx as having 3pt shooting but all slash and drives.

I was very anti-twins due to the shooting mechanics. Then throw in the fact that they’re rookies with little high-pressure experience and nearly 21… I just couldn’t buy stock into them. That said, the defense and athleticism are legit.

I agree with this. I kinda think Ivey and Cade need the ball in their hands to be succesful. Either make Ivey like Cole as the leader of the bench or trade him for someone that can complement Cade.
