He's got nearly 10 minutes in the first half. That's pretty darn good for him.

Oh I agree that it's good. I just don't understand the inconsistentcy with his minutes and rotational spots. We could literally be winning more games with him on the court. It's almost as if the FO doesn't want to surpass expectations and prefers we stay in the play in range.

Another defensive big should be a top priority for Weltman.

Goga he's literally sitting on our bench right now, I'd rather a pg and if not then a sg.

I prefer Goga but I get WCJ getting his minutes. I would love to see Goga paired with Mo when JI isn't available.

Goga doesnt have the lateral quickness of JI that he can stay with a player from the pwrimeter to the paint. WCJ doesnt have the length/height like JI and Goga to intimidate the drivers to the paint.

JI is really unique...

Surely we'll have an equally consistent 3rd quarter that lets us relax for the 4th, right?

For sure. 100%. I just don't think Mo should be out there (most of the time) without a defensive big next to him. Obviously the dropoff between JI and Goga is huge.

Imagine unleashing JI for 30 MPG in the playoffs. It changes the dynamics of a series. Do it during the regular season? I think we become a top 6 favorite

We have zero other guards that can do what he did that play. But if you only do it once in a while it doesn't really matter. Wish he was more aggressive.

I wonder if he tones it down to allow Pb to grow and help gel the team or if he's just "injured"?

According to EPM, Goga is the 6th best defensive center in the league.

Now all he can do is play drop coverage, so he's not super versatile, but he's one of the best in the league at drop coverage.
