We’ll are still at the development stage as a team, and our players will be forced to step up and take the lead while Paolo is out.

This will be great for the development of the team. Right now, Paolo is head and shoulders ahead of everybody. Hopefully, when he comes back, Franz and/or Jalen will be ready to be a legit #2 for this team.

Since you posted this, F-Wagner has "gone off". But for me actually, Bitadze at C over Carter has been a real key in the two wins.

Indeed he is, but hopefully he can sustain this level when Paolo comes back. He has a tendency to defer, and I think the 1 and 2 should both be aggressive every game.

I know this is 2k based so Ill expect all kinds of remarks, but I run Franz with MO in the 2nd unit, and let him and Cole go off as much as possible.

I also like all 3 Gremans being in the same 2nd unit, and I mass sub around the 5 to 6 minute mark.

Full court man to man D, and transition offense, running others out if the gym because I use the full team to refresh each unit.

PB said during the game the first 2-3 weeks is just rest then he'll start the rehab so it sounds like he will be out at least 6 weeks...

Franz has stepped up in every way you wish he would. Banchero injury may pay off on the back end of all this.

Just to clarify on Paolo "mini max" Derrick Rose rookie extension contract.
To get the so called mini max after a rookie contract, you have to either:
-The player was named to an All-NBA team in the most recent season, or in two of the past three seasons.
-The player was named Defensive Player of the Year in the most recent season, or in two of the past three seasons.
-The player was named Most Valuable Player in any of the past three seasons.

So being All NBA this season still wouldn't qualify Paolo for the mini max.
He needs to get All NBA in the most recent season which would be next year.
Of course had he gotten All NBA this season, making it next season would probably be easier as a previous All NBA.

And the team have to give the player the Rose designation in the contract.
Franz Wagner does have that rule in his contract.
Luckily even if Franz keep playing like he does, his chances are very minimal as Paolo will be back this year.
The difference is currently $224 vs $269 millions.

The funny thing is Haliburton came back so early from his injury last season just so he can make All NBA and earn the extra money which he did.
There was a huge outcry in the general thread about this situation.
He sure took advantage of that last season cause he's playing like **** this year.

I would love to see us keep atop the standings for the NBA Cup and get Paolo back for a trip to the Las Vegas for the semi finals around mid December.

Was there an update to his injury?

Probably accurate.

Christmas feels like the best case scenario.

Honestly bringing Paolo back slowly is the best move. I hate it, I really do. But Orlando has a tendency to use and abuse our star players. We need to let him rest. Especially with how physically dominant he can be.

Banchero is quote that he wasnts to start training now. But that "he is listening to the medical team".

For me this is clear, the Magic will not risk further injury from Banchero returning to soon. In that, his return must be assumed to be later and not sooner.

He might be high on the bench because he’s wearing sunglasses, getting technicals, and telling the coach how to coach.
The Magic want that extension so bad there is nothing they can do.

Dude... you sure you aren't the one that is high?

But hey... if it means Paolo signing with us throughout his bball career, i wouldnt mind him blowing a cloud in the bench.. lol

I'm not gonna worry about Paolo yet. Dude wants to win and plays like a bull. He wants to have peace pipe moments, let him have it.

He gets technicals from the bench because he sees something he doesn't like? So be it.

What an odd thing to have to defend an injured player wanting his team to win. It's almost like the attitude of prior players which gratefully led to our current success was possibly due to drive.
