How exactly? Most of the issues that the Magic face are a matter roster construction rather than coaching. They have no starting pg, they have no starting center, they have no 6th man, they can’t shoot, their bench is not good, most nights they are playing 2 on 5, there are a ton of injuries. Until they fix the roster, I really have a hard time judging Mose.
Guys have stopped playing with energy, toughness and physicality.
Which is literally Mosley’s entire gimmick.
If he can’t get these guys to do those things, he doesn’t need to be here.
At some point talent matters and toughness can do so much. This team doesn’t have much beyond Franz and Paolo at the current moment.
They were 19-12 at one point *this season* with the same players essentially though.

I mean, that's presumptuous lol. I'd say it only happens if the FO does anything.

It’s not like they’ve been horrible this entire season.
They played with great energy and great toughness and great defense for close to half of this season (after doing it for all of last season)
And then it stopped. And the winning stopped.

There's always meat behind that.
Players are slumping and playing bad and injuries have played a major factor in this season even if it's not a major factor currently.
Guys just don't forget how to coach and players don't just randomly tune coaches out. Frustration of not being able to convert easy shots and haven't bad offensive days basically every game are affecting very young players.

People blamed the energy on being tired and just waiting after the All Star break. Team still playing like trash. Something has happen in the locker room and they've unfortunately tuned Mosley out.

We need Cole. AB is giving us nothing.

The offense stunk last year and they still won 47.
The offense stunk the first half of this year and they were still 19-12 though 31 games.
They stopped playing defense and started losing. And if Mosley can’t get guys to play defense, then he has to go. Flat out.

If Mosely got fired and Weltman gets to stay.. it’d honestly be hard to support a franchise that’s so inept. Weltman is a basketball terrorist. On a team with home court playoff aspirations, 33 year old Cory Joseph is the only PG on the roster.
So many terrible moves since the summer of 2023.

And if that effort just isn't sustainable with the squad we have? The coach can't force it out of them.

You have to give a side eye to the refs when Ja'Kobe Walter and Immanuel Quickley combine for 15 free throws

A team that needs to be constantly wrung for all of its juice means its a flat out bad roster.
