I hope Bulls finish 10 place. I really don’t want them to hit top 4 and raise the possibility we don’t get the pick.

Same. I just don't see it happening. We need at least 8th. I have a bad feeling they are going to keep the pick.

Brandon Miller has emerged with the potential to go No. 2 in the 2023 NBA draft ahead of Scoot Henderson.
Miller is a 6'9 multi-dimensional wing while Henderson is a 6'2 super athletic combo guard.

"NBA teams are telling me he is firmly in the mix at No. 2," said ESPN's Jonathan Givony on NBA Today.

"I talked to a veteran executive just in the last week and he told me he currently has Brandon Miller No. 2 on his board," said Brian Windhorst on his podcast on Wednesday. "So it is a thing."

Sam Veccine of The Athletic shared a similar sentiment this week as well.

"It is not a foregone conclusion that Henderson will be picked at No. 2.
I’ve talked with a number of lead front-office executives as well as high-level scouts who either think the margin between Miller and Henderson is razor thin or just have Miller ahead at this point," wrote Veccine.

While the No. 2 pick is a subject of debate, Victor Wembanyama remains the consensus option at No. 1.

The problem here is that the Bulls has enough talent to win two games and make the playoffs. At that moment, this is the #16 pick in the draft.

In some sense, it is better if the pick does not convey, as next' years draft will all be about drafting for bench depth. And Orlando's own pick could very well be #16 or worse.

An Edey family photo.

I think his father is the far-left at a mini-5'10". You can see he gets his height from his mother, who is 6'1".

Doesn't look like it.

For fun, worked out the odds (of course based on both teams trying to win; which is not a given)

(( I have NO IDEA who these game probabilities are predicted. In themselves, some seem odd. Example: how can the Cavs games have differing odds??? ))

@ Phoenix 34%
@ LAC 14.2%
@ LAL 31.1%
Washington 52%
New York 35.8%
Brooklyn 54%
@ Memphis 26.3%
@ Washington 36.6%
Detroit 80%
Cleveland 30.7%
Cleveland 31.3%
@ Brooklyn 25.4%
@ Miami 28.2%

Anyhow, that comes out to 4.8 wins expected.

4-5 wins the rest of the way sounds about right to me.

Or: Orlando goes 13-0 to finish without a losing record.

Dream big!

29. Marcus Sasser 1.3 WARP
30. Terquavion Smith 1.3 WARP

ESPN warp ranking for draftees

A couple things stand out, beyond Henderson.

1) Who the heck is Cason Wallace? Is he the steal of the draft?
2) Black might be a projected bust.
3) Taylor Hendricks projected to be a long term NBA starter is cool.
4) Zach Edey and Marcus Sasser did score well. Either could be a SRP steal.

Of course. My point is that "has anyone in the universe considered him a potential top-5 pick"?

Miller’s ceiling Paul George/ Scottie Pippen hybrid. I wish he was younger and I would be all in. Grady Dick had a good all around game vs a 16 seed today.

So how about Dick eh?

Pretty good showing for the beginning of March Madness.. the onyl one to get double digit rebound and at least some steals for their team.

Also, what happened to Miller? As good as Grady has shown, Miller has been scoreless 10 mins left in the game??? and it isnt looking like he is stuffing the other stats..

I think a lot of interest in Wallace stems from that fact that so many Kentucky guards have been underdrafted and have gone on to play much better in the NBA than they did under Calipari.

Maxey, Quickley, Herro, Gilgeous-Alexander, Murray and Booker have all pretty much outproduced their draft slot.

Could Wallace be the next one to do so?

But you have to balance that with a lot of UK guards that have also been forced to learn Mandarin despite having positive draft projections.

Cason has really been a "no-show" at least for me this season. Maxey Quickley and Herro at least made a few splashes in their college games. Didn't watch SGA , Murray and Booker then.

He will be 21yrs of age when he plays in the league no?

With that said, I don't mind having a somewhat "mature" rookie for us. It would just coincide with our team going forward. Better to have a 20-21 yr old rookie that can contribute to our play-in/playoff aspirations next season rather than a 18/19 yr old raw rookie which we can't really develop much if we want to win. If our FO does the deep dive and thinks we can survive the PR nightmare that is attached with him, then why not.

Just hope that he doesn't disappear like what he did in the opening NCAAT. I mean that is the biggest stage of any college player.
