Me too. Forgot 3 meant EST, not CST. Booooo.

Hopefully it goes up on the magic site soon.

Dan Savage from the Magic website said he'll have the full video up shortly. I'll post here when it's available.

They did go to the same college but Presti graduated before Hennigan enrolled. Either way I'm happy with our decision. I heard someone say that Rob was on his way to the airport. I guess back to Miami. When does he start handling Magic business though?

He will trade Hedo+Jrich for Durant after the finals game :)

Alex Kennedy ‏@AlexKennedyNBA

I think Dwight Howard will be traded this summer. The organization is tired of the drama. He won't sign a long-term deal, so he'll be dealt.

Is there any team that Dwight might go to that would have cap room to sign him after this season? I know the Nets won't, neither will the Lakers or NY or Chi or Miami. Boston? i think they might unless they rebuild next year. Would Dwight walk to go to Boston? are there any other teams that matter that he might go to? Otherwise i say we keep him and tell him to STFU and play.

From watching the press conference does anyone else get the feeling that Rob will be POBO and GM? I know he said they may add to the front office but it didn't sound like anything that was happening soon and Alex nor Dan even addressed it.

I liked how he sounded intelligent, and professional. It probably sounds horrible but Otis just never sounded like he knew what he was talking about.

I think he is smart and forward thinking and that is great news for Magic fans.

Did you hear the "player development" comment? I think that was directed at how we all thought Stan did nothing with the young players.

idk about you guys, but i'd do dwight for 6+11+40+41

then j-rich and 19 for 18

then call okc and trade a future second rounder and cash for 28

trade 40 and 49 to cleveland for 33

clark for 38

and you have 6, 11, 18, 28, 33, 38, 41

jameer opts out, cut JJ

draft drummond at 6, rivers at 11, pj3 at 18, fab melo at 28, draymond green at 33, murphy at 38, tyshawn taylor at 41

rivers/taylor/duhon
liggins/murphy/qrich
pj3/turkoglu/green
davis/anderson/harper
drummond/melo

give it 2 or 3 years... best team in the league
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

btw, portland would have enough capspace to sign d-will and with dwight and his best friend matthews there, along with LA, i think that trade works out for both teams

The chances of that working out - even assuming those trades were realistic - is poor. See the analysis at http://www.82games.com/nbadraftpicks.htm

Thing is, we got Big Rob doing our drafting now. Even the last pick in the draft would be considered a steal, if drafted by Hennigan.

Can anyone find video of the presser? Sad that I missed it, and would love to be able to watch.

I would only trade Dwight for #1 only. Davis is the ONLY for sure thing in this draft for a player that should make the All-Star team.

All those # 6 and #11 for Dwight is garbage for a player of Dwights Caliber.

Martins sounded pretty confident on getting a long term commitment from Dwight or else.. I don't like how his position hasn't changed since early summer. The 2013 cap space and new GM make a very close to surefire plan to keep/re-sign Dwight. A second year won't be as bad as that last one, especially when Hennigan/Martins say there is 0% of a trade involving Dwight and that's it all about getting him the team he needs; if they can't get Dwight into extending this summer.

GM Hennigan did sound like he was looking for a players' coach and one who could develop players. I think Shaw's going to fit that. Hennigan didn't say anything specifically but it does sound like he can reposition/replace FO personnel, and probably add atleast a small net gain of new personnel. I don't think POB needs to be addressed, while it seems they are looking to be more collective which is wanted, it seems Hennigan is the clear decision maker now as he justly should be. Martins said Hennigan is spearheading that HC search and although it began already Hennigan doesnt want to put a timetable on it at all.

It'll be interesting to see what Hennigan and his strategic plans can do to help get Dwight to extend or not. It does seem very ridiculous but true that Martins wants to trade Dwight without such an extension, but these things flip flop and I think maybe Martins sees the Magic gaining advantages over other teams in his and Dwight's minds, so why not pressure now? I'd love Dwight to stay but in the terrible, terrible case he's gone, I can at least sound confident in Hennigan's rebuilding, which would've been better with Dwight but will look to be a clone of the excellent OKC model without Dwight too.

That is the same thing I was told as well. I think that thought process changes if he changes his mind on the extension as you can't just get rid of a top 5 player due to "drama" if he is willing to commit long term.

Probably. Unless he will be making all of the decisions, he's probably already on the phones trying to get a "team" around him that he trusts.
