Nothing has changed? His #1 destination, who could have signed him outright, is essentially off the table. C'mon now....

I think the only way we deal with LAL is if they give up both Bynum and Gasol. We then flip Gasol for cap relief/picks. But DH would have to comit to signing and we would have to be comfy with Bynums knees. IMO, LAL would be fools not to give up these two guys for the best (by far) center in the league.

I love people suggest we could easily "flip" Gasol for great pieces. Reminds me of 2007 when people thought it was a great idea to "flip" houses. To make the strategy work we better have a buyer already lined up, and if that's the case might as well make it a 3-way.

Not great pieces, cap relief.

The Serbian Swatter had his run in Orlando. Don't need him or any of his mental problems.

Agree, he is lazy and crazy. Think he will go back to Serbia.

I think you guys are being a little harsh on Buc

He said it would be hard for the Magic to take a trade worse than the one Brooklyn was offering, not that it just wasn't possible for Houston to ever make a better one.

That doesn't change anything for the team that he is on now that he asked a trade from..that just means one less suitor.

It's funny how every glimmer of hope leaves the "Dwight will stay" crowd so optimistic and in the sky..Sorry that I have to keep you guys grounded. Expect Dwight to expand his "list" within this week. Sorry bud.

So they can sign him as a free agent in January?

I don't think he'll change his list until a trade to Houston actually becomes close. That's when he'll finally change his mind

Wouldn't surprise me if he still is demanding a trade to Brooklyn, even after Lopez signed.

I believe that's the earliest date (15th?) that newly contracts can be traded.

The Lakers won't take back, more than 1 bad contract, by a swapping Dwight for Bynum, we'll be the same mediocre team with a less talented star. The only FA that will make us a contender is Cp3, and you'll have to pry him away from LA and sell Bynum on Orlando and that's even if you have cap space. Also there is the scare if Bynum might get injured every game he plays. Plus you get no draft picks, and with Bynum here we're in contention for 8th seed, so our pick will likely be mid 1st round. It really does get us nowhere, and I think/hope Hennigan is smart enough to realize this.

Dude, you don't know what I'm thinking so don't give me that you need to keep me grounded. I already said I expect to be gone. But more than that, I think the situation is fluid. If you listen to Hennigan talk the situation can change at any moment and he's keeping his mind open to all options.

All I am saying is that not acknowledging the situation has changed since he first demanded a trade is way off. There's people who may be too optimistic, but you're just as bad in the opposite direction. And to act as if the Nets, in Brooklyn, with Deron Williams, and the ability to sign there outright, was just simply one suitor out there, as if other teams are just as attractive and capable of luring Dwight from the Magic, then you're pessimistically delusional.

And the team has changed, we just don't know how. We lost Anderson, and drafted Nicholson. I've seen enough of him now to say he has a chance to be special. And if he turns heads, especially Dwight's, then a lot can be changed.

I want to know what the last guy told Dwight. I have a feeling it's part of the blackmail rumor and why Dwight now wants a trade. Something, not SVG, happened.

My bad. That was sarcasm.

I meant, people who think nothing has changed since he first made his trade demand could not be any more wrong. At the very least, he can no longer sign with the Nets anymore, which is huge. On top of that, they haven't put together a very good trade offer for Dwight, and that doesn't look to change. Hennigan said so.

You seriously think a rookie playing in a couple summer league games has the potential to change his mind? You think he's going to chance his future on this guy?

Good god man

Plus losing Ryno is a negative to team perception, not a positive

What if Dwight decides to try to keep from being traded until january so that he gets traded to BK? Like if he tells Orl that he is strongly considering staying and he wants to see how the season starts or something just until jan. then he asks for a trade again? Possibility or is he definitely gone before the season starts?

Bucher is a moron. The guy said the Nets walked away, not the other way around. Does he honestly believe the Magic wanted a capped out team, with Lopez/KH as their center pieces, plus 4 low 1st round draft picks for the best big man in the game? If he does, he needs to be fired immediately. The Magic would much rather Howard walk. At least then they can start over with cap space and their pride intact.

Allegedly, Nets made an offer and the Magic counter-offered of which the Nets said no.

I could see Dwights Rehab lasting long enough until he gets his trade request filled. Then, he will become all of a sudden healthy for his new team.
