It would appear that Henny's pitch to Howard is to not to focus on this off-season/next year, but the following off-season. It would be build something lasting and not the way we did previously with Otis, swapping pieces in/out season after season.
Better hope the rumors of Jameer's contract aren't true then. Cause I don't see how we have a lot of cap flexibility next offseason if we can't dump Hedo's contract on someone without trading Dwight.
Yes -- Jameer would be the ONLY reason we wouldn't have cap space.
Besides, as someone else pointed out, since his last season is not fully guaranteed, one could view his almost as 2 year contract only - or one that could be traded as an expiring.
Same thing with Hedo & Duhon, they are only partially guaranteed for the following season.
