It's sad, but it's all money driven BS. ESPN partners with the CFB playoff committee. Together they make sure things are pointing in the right direction so that the cashflow remains strong. I mean, literally right before the rankings came out, Jemele Hill was on SC ranking UCF at 6. She got blasted (as she always does) by everyone else on the show.

I heard a bit of noise this weekend as well. I believe Joey Galloway stated that UCF should be higher. He wasn't the only one, but I don't recall who else mentioned it. It's as much as we can hope for in the current system. If everything follows form (though it never does) and UCF runs the table again next year, pressure will mount to change the system in some way. Because we know the committee will keep the G5 out of the playoffs until more changes are made.
First things first though. UCF has to beat a really tough Memphis team and then win a bowl against one of the entitled programs. Otherwise, everything that has happened up until now will be dismissed for the same old reasons.
"Xatticus has always been, in my humble opinion best poster here. Should write articles or something."

Ya, I think we could make it into the playoff IF we had another undefeated season. But that would be very difficult.

The way it's going this year I don't think we would. Their refusal to put us higher shows they would take whatever actions they needed to leave us on the outside. I'd bet we'd top at 5th and they'd point to SOS. Even if we're 26-0 over the two seasons, with two conference championships, blowing people out. If we were in the Top 10 right now I'd say it's possible. But the way they're voting it makes me think there is a definite ceiling.

Got my two student guest tickets for Saturday.
CFP committee is a joke. Setting it up for Alabama to get in the top-4. 3-loss Stanford leaps a huge amount over us. Washington, blah. No USF in the top-25. It's bull. All of it.
We just can't worry about it. Use the disrespect as motivation for a great Memphis team on Saturday.
In an ideal world, Frost announces an extension on Thursday/Friday, but this will go on. I think he's handled it pretty well actually. Watch the videos, and don't just read the quotes. It makes a big difference.
I think we all agree that it's down to us and Nebraska. Here's to his wife demanding they stay in Orlando. If Tim Duncan's cheating girlfriend/wife can persuade him to stay in San Antonio, why not karma reverse itself?

As someone mentioned earlier, I wasn't a fan of the BCS, but the CFP committee is a joke. I realize UCF isn't in a Power 5, but to be ranked 14th as an undefeated team is criminal. You guys should be 9 or 10th at a minimum. Washington, USC, Stanford ahead of you...

this kind of crap always makes me think of the reporter asking Stan "what did this loss mean" after a Magic game and his response was something along the lines of "well this is a legitimate sport, not college football, it means we lost one game and we move on with life"

Its a name recogintion popularity contest as well as the people on the committee trying to protect their conferences and protect their money.

I've never been so nervous as an FSU fan in my 34 yrs. Can't believe there are people dumb enough to push out Jimbo Fisher.

yea i don't know what is going on there, Jimbo is a great coach and you guys would be crazy to push him out or let him go.
Frost on Bianchi this morning apparently was speaking in pretty much all past tense. I didn't listen but people who did are saying it was like a goodbye speech. After he left the show Bianchi even talked about it being a goodbye speech. This is the first time I've actually gone from "leaning Nebraska" to "he gone".

What's going on is people are dumb enough to complain about his salary($5.7 mill a year), yet Michigan is paying Harbaugh $2 mill more a year to lose to Ohio State three years in a row and finish no higher than 3rd in the Big Ten.
Secondly, Fisher doesn't get along with the AD and Boosters, he only has a good relationship with the school President. He has to fight with the AD and Boosters to get upgrades, to facilities, the new indoor practice facility, etc. Outside of this season, only Saban has more wins than Jimbo since 2010. Now add Dabo, with FSU having a down year. Only those two have more wins than Jimbo in that span. Does Saban, Dabo and Urban have to fight with AD and Boosters to get what they want? Absolutely not. So why does Jimbo??
Give the man what he wants, PERIOD! His resume speaks for itself, 83-23, 3x ACC Champ, 1x National Champ.
The Boosters and AD also complain about schools coming after Jimbo the last three years, Texas, LSU and now Texas A&M. Well duh, he's arguably a top 4 coach in college football, of course he is going to be highly sought after. He wants to stay at FSU, but the boosters and AD want to push him away.

Re: #11 UCF Football (11-0): Vs Memphis
Also since Fisher took over at FSU, he only has 1 loss a piece to Miami and Florida. He's 7-1 vs both schools. He has been dominating his biggest rivals, yet let's just push him away for the hell of it.
