Chet imo has the talent to be All-NBA. But this hip injury unfortunately highlights the risk with him and why he shouldn’t have gone #1. He is likely fragile.

Muscle/ligament injuries are one thing. This happened because he basically got bodied so hard his frame broke. With his role on defense, he will be involved in a lot more high impact collisions on hardwood.

Dick is also playing 32 MPG and has a 23 USG% on a team that's 2-9.

If you put Jett on Toronto and gave him Gradey's FGAs and usage, he'd be putting up good stats on a terrible team too.

101 minutes 16/43 FGA and 47 pts 11 rbs a single assist! and a single steal - those are totals of Jett this season

36 minutes 26/2/5/2/3 - those are the numbers of Dick against Denver only.

So in one game and 1/3 of Jett minutes he had more assists steals and blocks than Jett so far in 3 times as many minutes and more than half the points.

Yep Raptors are not great, but we are still sub .500 teams so maybe we can be a bit less condescending.

If you look at Dicks last 5 games in the NBA, probably as good as Jett in 5 games against G-League talent. Jett is a classic 3 no D. I think potential scoring role player 10-15mpg career.

Jett kind a has no position to play.
At college he was mostly PF and it was fine, similar to Okeke.

But in nba he "shrank " from 6'8 to 6'6.... ( pretty much explains why he skipped everything about combine ) , he has no strength to play PF in nba, nor size. At SF he can't move feet fast enough to get pass by athletic wings nor can defend them.

He is volume shooter. On team that has no need for one as majority of volume goes to Banchero and Franz.

At least we can put notion of "development" in G league to rest. That league is everything but developmental.

For the now 12-0 Cavs, if the close-out the season with a 50% win-rate, that's a 47 win record. That looks a lot like at least the 4-seed.

But let's say the Cavs win 80% of their final home games and 40% of their final road games, that's 54 wins. I see that as the Cavs floor: a 2-seed and a 50+ season.

Teams have now played between 10-12 games each. There are only 2 Eastern teams with a winning record currently. Meaning their are 13 teams at or below 50%. Sad.

Conceptually I agree with you and I always thought it was horrible to keep the second FRP (for anyone; but certainly him). But here's a strange stat to swallow.

Even though Howard is 13th in mpg, he is one of only 6 Magicians to have played in all 11 games. That's wild.

We have been on the both sides of several blowouts, so he got some garbage time.

Crazy.

ZIon out without timetable of return.
Hawkins out for 1-2 weeks
Herbert Jones out for a month
McCullum out for around 2-4 weeks
Murray out for around 6 weeks

They just lost Alvarado for 6 weeks.

At least they got Murphey back.

But man... what to say?

Like obviously hes a legend in GS but hes a role player today. They are acting like KD is on the Warriors playing OKC.

Heat with one of the most brutal losses you'll ever see.

Herro scores with 1.1 seconds left to put them up 2.

Detroit calls timeout.

Heat get confused and put 6 guys on the court, and barely get the 6th guy off the court before Detroit inbounds the ball.

Heat botch the switch and Detroit hits a lob dunk to tie with 1 second left.

Spo calls timeout.

Heat are out of timeouts. Technical foul.

Pistons make the FT to win the game.

They're acting like Uncle Joe Ingles and the Twolves are playing in Orlando :noway: Jokes aside he should have retired there so I can see why it's a story.

He is part of Warriors history but also instant Hall of Fame favorite. 5 times all star, one of best shooters in history, helped them win 4 championships and was part of most influential team in past 20-ish years in nba.

There are three teams in the NBA undefeated at home, the Cavs (obviously), the Magic, and this is so random, the Lakers.

There are four teams in the East with a positive scoring differential; there are ten in the West.

Is this related? There are only four Eastern teams with an in-Eastern-conference winning record. So: it's not just that the West is beating the East. It's that there are eleven bad-to-horrible Eastern teams.
