Completely cooked 1 on 1 by Vassell, then bricks a wide open 3PT so badly that it hits mostly backboard and not rim.

I considered him nearly untouchable last year but his defense and offense has seen a notable drop to the point where he has to be available in most trades… my only hesitation in moving him is that he pairs well with Mo and lord knows Mo needs the defensive help.

Castle's slow step is so effective

Suggs needs that in his bag

Honestly, who cares? We win because of defense and he sucks on defense. He was critical as a high usage guy and now Franz has proven he can do it, too. Paolo's game is lazy and soft.

Any contender-like future involves Paolo continuing to ascend, a gameplan that supports his success, and a PG to get him in favorable positions.

We need a playmaking guard. He's asked for it and Weltman has ignored it. The gameplan is just give 6'10 Paolo the ball and expect him to make something of nothing every play. It's brutal.

Castle has so much more juice off the bounce than literally every single Magic player.

Who cares what he wants? He loves acting like he's a franchise savior and he's actually Julius Randle.

The team has to adapt though, even in this game. If you know he’s off this bad, gotta explore other options.

Seems like theyve been adjusting, Franz is shooting the ball more than Paolo past couple games

We dont really have that many options to create with the ball in their hands. Its Franz, Paolo, Cole

Gotta work on creating for others. Gotta pick up the pace and try to catch the defense out of position. Franz benefits from that a lot and creates for himself and others, but Paolo likes to slow it down and back his man down. That’s not an effective strategy in this game.

Paolo looked completely out of it even when he was waiting to check in. Wasn’t even paying attention to what was going on on offense and was staring at the ground.

You can say that about practically any team's guards we play against

It limits our offensive game so much, Suggs doesnt have the coordination to use it consistently/effectively

Front office deserves some blame, but we are also watching Franz ascend with the exact same teammates.

We are a lottery team with Paolo playing like this and his teammates aren't soley responsible for his play. I think he will be fine, but this (his play) is mostly on him or his injury or whatever. Yes they need to get him help in the offseason, we know this.

If he plays like this then do we want him to stay?

We have two years of data to show that this isn’t his game. Is he inefficient? Yes. But not this bad. He needs a vet point guard and spacing around him. We are lazy if we just trade him and do not even attempt to improve the team while he’s here.

If Paolo doesn't succeed, what are we doing here? Our organization needs to support this dude. Our current team is really not much different than the last place team that earned the 1st pick to draft him. If he leaves unceremoniously it will be devastating and I for one, will be done.

Completely reasonable, it's just considering Paolo's Play in the post season and his play to begin the season OBVIOUSLY something is off and this is not the Paolo we know. So what purpose does it serve to constantly pile on the negativity? Especially when you know he's not himself?
