I'm sorry to say I think JI is cooked guys. I see nothing special from him. No explosiveness. No shooting. No elite defense. Nothing.

I'm not ready to have that conversation. Let's see how this season goes. It would be odd to see that kind of drop-off so quickly.

Paolo had 6 points in his preseason debut, not worried about Jase. However for his confidence, I really want him to make a shot. I also want to see Penda in the second half.

Snap back to what though? We don't need to see the same AB. We need an AB with something, anything, he's developed over the summer. What has he added? This version of AB is going to get traded or they'll just let him walk.

No shot creators on the unit.

But I'm hard pressed to see a scenario in a real game where one of Paolo, Franz or Bane wouldn't be on the floor.

And if everyone is healthy, the 2nd unit would have Tyus and TDS too.

Random story that no one asked for - I have a friend that told me recently that he’s best friends with AB’s weed dealer and that AB smokes A LOT.

Now this probably means nothing and I know smoking is quite common in the league and some players can play great while high, but I would just keep a mental note of this and see if his play seems lethargic and not consistent.

To be fair this lineup will never play together in thr regular season. When Suggs, F.Wagner, and M. Wagner are on the court these guys will look so much better.

Inconsistency has been a big problem for AB since day one. He can be great and help win a game for you, but then be bad the next two games. He never builds on anything and builds momentum, just a good game here and there sandwiched between inconsequential ones. He's still very young but that has to get better. He can't be out there looking like a clueless rookie that can't even hold onto the ball.

I think JI has looked fine? It's not like that 2nd unit is going to create any easy shots for him. He was active and got a few trips to the line, which was that unit's only points before Jett made a shot. I don't know, not really a spot where a guy like him can be expected to shine.

1 half of preseason and im ready for this team to move on from AB. Absolute garbage PG play. No growth at all.
