They can shoot. It reminds me of the 09-10 Magic on offense. We had so many shooters that season.

Ball movement which leads to unpredictability. There were posessions wherein even Hali doesnt even touch the ball.

While we have the ISO your turn my turn with Paolo and Franz. They may be better but we aint winning with that predictable offense.

Not to even get in the conversation of who is better, it is only 1 game in the finals. I am sure that Chet was nervous. Paolo has not yet been in the position. He could be a dud in game 1 of the finals as well.

I think we match up very well with the Pacers but just like any other opponent, it's going to come down to how good of shooters Paolo, Franz, and Suggs become. We're NEVER winning anything with their career 3pt percentages. You could add Giannis to that core and we'd still struggle to outscore OKC or Indy with the usage and efficiency of those guys.

I think I was giving the Pacers a better chance than many to be competitive due to the fact they usually limit turnovers, as OKC struggles without them, but they didn't even do that this game and won LOL.

The number of 3 point shooters on their team is just insane, right into their big men and entire roster. It equalizes everything. 46 3P% for them tonight. They got rid of all of the jitters from so many close games all year too. The crazy comebacks are just a permanent confidence boost at this point.

Agree and they all compete on defense as well to go with their shooting. Not great on defense, but I believe they were 14th in the NBA and that is with Nesmith who is maybe their best defender missing significant time. Nembhard also missed 17 games and Haliburton was playing through the back thing early. Once they got healthy they have been one of the best teams in the league.

I would still pick OKC if I had to pick a team right now with little hesitation, but looks like it can be a fun series and the Pacers certainly have a real chance at this point.

I think Chet's foot injury too away some of his explosiveness.

Pacers are unreal with all those comebacks.

I still think OKC can end series in even 5 games. But yea, you can't be comfortable around Pacers. You are up by 10 with 2 min to play and they love it

The Pacers led that game for exactly 0.3 seconds. But they were the seconds that counted.

I do agree but first the Magic will have to get the role players the Pacers have. Right it’s only Franz and Paolo.

Jorge Sampaoli (former Argentinian coach in soccer) :
"One night, I went to a bar accompanied by a beautiful woman. We sat and talked for a long time, and I was kind to her. I told her about my life and wanted to get to know her better. I even paid for the drinks we had...
At that moment, a handsome man came and sat next to us. He talked to her for about five minutes, then she excused herself and went with him to the bathroom, where they had sex.
That night, I realized that ball possession doesn't matter in life..."

As a Barça fan over many years, I can agree!

The Thunder didn't just dominate possession tho. They were 10-15 points up for most of the game. That used to be a mountain to climb. Nowadays it's nothing. 3-pointers on one side, absence of resilience on the other....

Reminds me, I was really cross hearing Mose talk about basketball being "a game of runs" a couple of years back. I felt it gave permission to players to let runs slip as well as encourage them to chase runs down.
