Did the Magic accept or decline Anthony Black’s 4th year?

We haven't even extended Paolo's rookie extension yet and he was drafted a year earlier than Black.

If Im correct, no one in AB's draft class has even had their contracts "touched" yet

Hope Joe does all the pressers. So tired of listening to Moseley's " continue to get better, dont get to high or too low blah blah blah"... We were spoiled with Steve Clifford and Stan Van Gundy's openness and forthcomingness with team info.

The jury is still out on AB, he’s definitely not a point guard right now BUT we shall see what Shamgod can do with him. At least we can feel a little better knowing there some point guard mentorship available now.

Unpopular opinion, I’d start AB out on Osceola to start the season. I said it last year also, he has to get heavy minutes to be able to make mistakes and learn without costing the club. He has to find his strength in his game and also work on his physical strength. He has flashes but there not consistent enough flashes.
Black isn't going to Osceola. We lost 2 of our better defensive guards in KCP and Harris. If one of Black or Suggs goes out, it'll be tougher to have one of the better defenses.

Black's handle improved in the second half of last season and will likely improve more next season.

Black's handle Improved so much in the 2nd half that he played again the waiting in the corner while Paolo, Franz, Cojo bring the ball up 3&D wing roll. It improved so much that you doesn't need more than 1 hand to count the times he could dribble inside the 3pointline as a ballhandler vs the Celtics which is one of the main reasons he had zero assists.

I like him and he is important for our defense next year without KCP and Harris and I don't wanna trade him yet but can we stay in this reality when we talk about a player and not in a Marvel multiverse.

I didn’t even bother listening to his post games because it’s usually the same. I just skipped to the players.

Fair, but let’s stay real on development timelines. AB’s handle and rim pressure both improved, and he shot great after the break. He wasn’t asked to run the offense yet, but that doesn’t mean he can’t. Let’s give him the runway.

I don't believe so. Caleb lives at Advent while the other 6'8 wing been chillin in Miami.

We'll see how it plays out. If nothing is done this week, a telling sign will be who shows up to Vegas to support the team.

We have like 1.26 million to sign someone. We have like 2.5 million but it was without including Bane’s incentives which do count against the cap.

We have to make a move before adding Caleb back. I don’t see it.

Who is chilling in Miami? Jett isn’t 6’8”

I’m going to say it’s more likely that we DONT retain Caleb than the later.

Given our situation would you rather:

A) Keep a roster spot open for flexibility and give Jett one last chance to show anything and at worst just decline his option for next season).

B) Trade Jett AND two SRP’s into a teams TPE to be able to sign Caleb as the 15th guy (and either sign an additional vet min. or leave an open roster spot).

I know in the big picture it's not a huge deal but I really prefer Caleb. Not as talented but just works nonstop. I would love for both us and Jett to move on and free up another 5.5. Have 6.8 to spend. Caleb 2yr/6 and bring Corey back or maybe a forward like McDermott.
