Dick did in the 1st round...

I mean they played a pud 16 seed  hard to glean anything from that really.

They played a much better team today and he did nothing.

I'd love that just for the storyline! The hype train would be through the roof if we got both twins.

Guess it all boils down to what we want.

Eddey doesn’t seem fit for NBA. His pockets will be picked and will be fast breaked to death.

I hear ya, but I think Edey has the base level skill and IQ to have success even in this iteration of the league. Tacky and Boban never displayed the footwork and soft touch that Edey has, they were just big.

Defensively his impact will obvs come in the paint where he’ll be a deterrent and rebound machine. If he can learn to grab a rebound and pitch it up to a streaking wing he could lead his own transition runs. On the perimeter he’ll get destroyed but he could be coached into using his length to mitigate that.

Offensively he would start as a post player who can help generate looks on the perimeter. I like his chances of one day developing a jumper out to the 3pt line - we could be talking 8 years down the line, but I think the potential is there.

For us, he’d be a big body to bring off the bench and in moments we need to secure rebounds. If we got him for a 2rp, it will prove to be great value.

I understand.. i mean Tacko wasnt really carrying his team they way Eddey did with his this and last season.

I like the idea of attracting doubles downlow since our up and comers in Franz and Paolo all work best from outside going in. If his offense outweighs the potential disadvantahe on defense then sure why not. I would put him over Goga and MoW as the backup C.

Yeah... Kansas really just used him as a distraction to open up while the upperclassmen all tried to auditiom for the nba. They never really got him the ball to shoot. It was all Wilson and Adams in the paint it seems like.

However, as i noticed, the fears of his defense... if he really is that of a liability then the other teams would target and hunt him down. Seems they can't.

I know it’s not our biggest need but I’m sold on Jarace Walker. Unless we get a top 3 pick, give me Walker and Dick. Add Fred Van Vleet via Free Agency. Move on from JI, Chuma, and who ever else. Do we need Gary Harris money to sign Fred?

We can design a lot of looks to accommodate Zach Edey's defense inability. On P&R, we do not need him to show or switch. He just need to take away the driving lane while the smaller guy can fight over the screen.

But still, the biggest struggle I can see from Zach Edey in the NBA is still on the defensive end.

That is why I am so intrigued by Taylor Hendricks. Dude has defense versatilities and can guard the perimeter. Plus he was leading the American in block shots per game.

I wish we go top 3 and use the CHI pick on Taylor Hendricks

The Magic would have enough to offer VanVleet a very large contract if they simply move on from Harris.

If they really need more $ to seal the deal they could move on from Isaac and/or Fultz, but they don't have to do that.

The play in, sure.

I don't think they'll get out of the play in, which will keep their pick in the lotto.

He can play some 4 but he would be best utilized at the 5 IMO. Similar to Chet in OKC.

I dunno man. Inserting Pat Bev into the SL and benching Pat Williams has given them the boost they were lacking. Hopefully it falls apart but they’re looking like a playoff team to me right now. Anything can happen in single game elimination games but I do like the way they’re playing more than the Heat and the Hawks right now.

Actually: no. The Bulls is probable to make the play-ins, but as a 10 seed, Chicago is quite unlikely to advance to the playoffs from that position. At that point, the pick transitions to the lottery as a probable #10 spot.

But yes, Chicago's 1 1/2 lead over Washington and Indiana will probably hold.

If the play-ins happened now, Chicago would have to beat Toronto on the road and then on the road beat the loser of Miami and Atlanta. I would think the chances of both are at best (0.4)^2. Or a 16% chance to make the playoffs as the 10-seed.

Kevin Pelon's WARP rankings thing have him 3rd behind Wemby and Miller.

Spoiler:
3. Cam Whitmore
Villanova | SF
Top 100: No. 7
Stats: No. 2

Consensus: 3.2 WARP

Although Whitmore's return wasn't enough to turn around a Villanova season that ended in the NIT, his production was solid. My model particularly seems to like Whitmore's combination of a high steal rate and accurate shooting inside the arc. No other player in this year's top 100 boasts a projected 2-point rate better than 52% (Whitmore is at 54%) and a projected steal rate of 2.0 per 100 or better. Just three draft picks have hit those marks since 2011: Mikal Bridges, Paul Reed and Zion Williamson.

FWIW, I had a look at Pelton's track record with this and it's a bit all over the shop. For example, he didn't think much of Tatum but he had Jokic 5th in 2014 and VanVleet 3rd in 2016.
