Magic trade the 5th and 9th pick to Houston for the 2nd pick and select Henderson.

Totally fine with that. Even though there would be growing pains with Henderson as the starting point guard. You still take the swing on his star potential 100 times out of 100.

Lack of experience, especially on the defensive side which you can't have against a team like Kansas.

Yeah.. but why did the lower ranked player in Black playing without rest? He also doesn't have experience. Dos this mean Black has more potential and/or better than NSJ?

Mark Mitchell being sidelined prior to the game made it nearly impossible for them.

You can’t go without the best, and toughest, defensive player on the roster and expect to win.

Back to the draft…

Dariq Whitehead showed flashes, but I don’t know if he’s really anything more than a Gary Harris kind of guy. He looked stiff defensively and never attacked the rim.

The question should be if he really recovered from the injury. Prior to that, he was the #1 recruit NOT because he just stood and shoot 3s after all.

Oscar Tshiebwe is a absolute beast. Id roll the dice on him with a late first early 2nd.

Black has played the full year and is better defensively. NSJ just recently got healthy so has not been in the rotation as long. Coach went with the rotation he trusted the most, that is all. NSJ and Black were both struggling offensively but Black was better defensively.

As a player yes, Black skillset is better. However, as a fit for us.. I kinda feel he just duplicates what Franz is already giving us while NSJ gives us that big quick scoring from wherever SG.

He is a good college player. As a NBA player?? Also, watch his games.. there are a lot of times where the refs never calls his push offs that is why he gets a lot of offensive boards. Do you think that won't get called in the league?

Might be like that game where if your shots arent falling, Black contributes in other ways while NSJ was sent to the bench..

I'm not really impressed with NSJ at all. Black's playmaking at his size and versatility on defense promise to be game changing.

There's speculation already out there that they're gonna shut Lillard down sooner than later.

Imo he is underrated in draft circles.
Very unselfish, plays under control.
Defense, 3pt shooting.
Imo his game is best suited for the NBA.

After Wemby, Scoot and Miller I’d rank a package of Hendricks + Wallace as my next favourite draft result.

I’m with you, he’s gonna blow up in the league. Probably not star level, but high impact support player like Malcolm Brogdon or similar.
