JRich&Bass for Z-Bo on it's own wouldn't make sense. More players would have to be included ..

We need a backup C and some defense on the perimeter. A better PF is not our biggest need

why would we trade j-rich for an offensive player? Thats what j-rich is. We don't need low post scoring, we already have the best low post guy.

I can only endorse defensive moves or star moves, and considering we have little to no shot at a star, we need to get better defensively.

Camby
Dalembert
Wallace
Iggy

Those types of players.

what about Jrich and Bass for Thabeet and Zbo? this addresses our need for front court depth. It leaves us a little thin at SG though. JJ would have to start while Qrich and Arenas can split minutes as the backups.

Well this is pretty much what I was thinking... But i really don't want Randolph and Thabeet isn't that great. HAHA. So pretty much i don't want to make this trade, but I guess I wouldn't be surprised if this happened.

MKaybe tryt to get B Wright from New Jersey for Duhon? They'll need a backup PG once Devin is dealt, which is 100% likely to happen.

WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
Golden State and New Jersey near agreement to trade Dan Gadzuric and Brandan Wright for Troy Murphy and 2012 second rounder, sources tell Y!

Everyone is saying Golden State will buy out Murphy. Please Otis. Please. It's just a simple signing of a free agent. Don't go out and get Zbo.

I'd welcome Zbo if we get more pieces in return though (mayo or somebody else), and another big (backup)

Other players I would love to have here, Gerald Wallace and/or Iggy

But the Zbo trade makes our frontcourt scary (we'll never be out rebounded, and everyone will double down-low or near the elbow/baseline every time, which will open up the floor for our backcourt and wing players)

I wouldn't mind Otis doing this deal... it'd definitely show Dwight that Otis is trying to put fire power on this team to win with... I'd take a chance imo... having two very good bigs on the floor together is great, especially one elite big and one all-star big is even scarier

Get Zbo, add a serviceable backup C (Dalembert buyout?), and get another wing or sg/sf combo player (who is defensive-minded)... and we have a team that's offense is formidable inside, which will open up WIDE OPEN shots from the perimeter for our shooter (when the defense goes to help/collapse down-low on Howard and ZBo)

I agree, I wouldn't mind:

Won't we still be short a back up center if this deal goes thru?

I actually like bass b/c he's the only one on the team that shows tenacity on the floor.

Also, would this supposed deal put the magic in a better financial situation as far as cap space and all that other non sense is concerned?

ZBO plays J-Rich defense at the pf position. Plus he gets a lot of "kevin love" miss my shot, grab a rebound and put it back in type of stats. Not a fan. I'ld rather keep J-Rich.

I would expect another back-up big to be signed before the deadline (or grabbed up after the deadline if there is a buyout of some sort, like with Dalembert or somebody)... Zbo alone is not worth the deal imo... but Zbo + SF (or SG/SF) or ZBo + Backup big or ZBo + backup big + SF (SG/SF) are great deals to go for

STEIN_LINE_HQ Marc Stein
Sacramento and New Orleans closing in on deal that would send Carl Landry to Hornets for Marcus Thornton and David Andersen

A potential replacement for David West perhaps?

J-Rich needs to kick rocks.....Too inconsistent and virtually brings nothing to the table that Redick can't emulate

WojYahooNBA If G-State completes deal for Murphy, it's expected he'll get bought out and become a free agent. Then? Orlando, Dallas, Boston, Miami etc.

And how do you think we'll be able to get that "great" player?

Probably no better than Bass' defense at guarding PF's tbh.
