Turk was always a guy who seemed to struggle with self-motivating. He seemed to have a Vince Carter like on/off switch. Once he got older (and richer) the switch seemed to be harder to reach. Everyone knew this, which is why Otis refused to pay him initially. Problem now is that when we went looking for a Hedo Turkoglu-like player last year, we ended up going after older, overpaid Hedo Turkoglu instead of trying to find a new one.

Funny stat:

WS/48 is recorded at Basketball-Reference.com and it claims to measure the number of wins contributed by a player per 48 minutes.

For instance, the top 5 WS/48 for this year are 1. LeBron James 2. Chris Paul 3. Kevin Durant 4. James Harden 5. Dwyane Wade

Mostly passes the eye test, no? Harden is the only guy in the top 5 that isn't a clear franchise player, and the top ten is rounded out by other super-role-player-core-guy types mixed with clear franchise players, with 6 clear franchise guys and 4 clear super.... you get it.

Well, Orlando's top 5 from the past 5 years? 1. Dwight Howard 2. Dwight Howard 3. Dwight Howard 4. Ryan Anderson 5. Dwight Howard

Yeah.

Ryan is #8 all time in Orlando Magic franchise history, btw.

I hope we don`t hire Scott Skiles, he is simply a worse version of SVG.

Any per 48 stat is a bit skewed because he comes off the bench (Ryan plays few minutes as well), but yeah this was a real breakout for Harden. He does seem like the only Thunder player who knows how to play offense. Watch Durant without the ball vs Harden without the ball and you'll see what I mean. Once Durant or Westbrook has the ball, you're dead, but I say Harden has a higher offensive IQ than both guys.

Is Mitch Kupchak available? I think the Trailblazers interviewed him.

^ that team is not beating Miami. We still don't have a go to scorer and we're lock into that team. Not bad, but not great.

Bynum go to go scorer

then Iguo+josh+Bynum brings good Defense

Nash+Nelson leading the way

i think this team is much better than our team , byu the way we dont have go to go player ATM

Bynum has better offensive game+ can hit FT% (and he ll want to be here)

I think all trade r realistic

Phily is shopping Iguo and they need a Big
Josh want out and atlanta would be great with JJ+BBD+1st

on top of that, with that team we could easily bring a defensive coach cause this team can defend

IF we HAVE to trade Howard, this is MY preferred route...

ORL in: Bynum, Lowry, Scola
ORL out: Howard, Turk, JRich

LAL in: Howard, Turk, JRich
LAL out: Bynum, Gasol

HOU in: Gasol
HOU out: Lowry, Scola

Next trade: ORL - JJ, BBD, 1st Rnd pick

For

MIL: Monta

(If Nelson doesn't opt out)
Next Trade: ORL - Anderson, Nelson, future firsts

For

PHI - Iggy

PG: Lowry, Ish
SG: Monta, Wafer, Liggins
SF: Iggy, Q
PF: Scola, Clark
C: Bynum, FA, Orton

We have everything you need in that starting lineup.
Use the MLE and veteran mins to build the bench.

We beat Miami this season, so we surely could with.this team.

splitting the regular season and pre-season has no bearing on whether we would be able to handle them in a seven game series. Miami is clearly better than us this year and would be even with Bynum and Igoudala.

My point is, there is no sense in locking ourselves into a team that isn't good enough to win it all. Those moves make us the third best team in the East, and that is if we can get 82 games out of Bynum. He is still an injury risk. Before anyone says that we can let those guys walk if it doesn't work out, what's the point?

Just going off what our poster CB put in the RealGM trades section. Which was a Ryno/Tyreke swap with a future 1st going to the Kings. Since Ryno would be perfect next to Cousins just like he was next to Dwight maybe the Kings are interested.

If they would want a future 1st we could keep number 19 this year & draft either Wroten or Marshall for the PG spot since Meer may walk. Sign Gee for the starting 3 spot (pushing Hedo to the bench).

Tyreke/Wroten or Marshall/Duhon
JRich/JJ
Gee/Hedo/Q
BBD/Harper
Dwight/Orton

Nothing great but we def wont be just "jump shooters" anymore. I like Tyreke/Gee/BBD/& Dwights defensive abilities in that first team.

lol I didn't read this before posting in the other thread about Who to Pair W/ Dwight and I proposed nearly the identical thing.

Like I said there, Tyreke has "stunted growth" meaning his game never fully developed in SAC. Partially due to injury and partially due to his maturity. I feel like he has the tools and skills to be successful but he needs to work on his shot, shot selection, and work ethic. I think being surrounded by the right professionals, like Rondo was, he could compete as an elite guard. I like the Ryan trade for Tyreke a lot because it allows us to keep BBD and JJ. I would try to trade JRich and/or Hedo and the 19th pick to get a veteran SF (Iggy as a long shot) or sign Gerald Wallace.

Tyreke
JJ
Iggy
BBD
Dwight

If we could get a JJ/BBD/19th pick for Monta deal, there would be no reason to trade Dwight.

Interesting....the two most successful players in the playoffs and everyone who didn't play.... ....Meanwhile in Turkey....
