No way Martins lets this go into the season.

You seriously think a rookie playing in a couple summer league games has the potential to change his mind? You think he's going to chance his future on this guy?

Good god man

Plus losing Ryno is a negative to team perception, not a positive

Geez. Look. I'm not saying I know what's going to happen. I don't know what to expect. I've learned just watch and judge. I've been watching Nicholson and I see a lot of natural talent. I've seen people saying he's only been playing serious bball for 5 years? He looks like a natural. It's not about stats. It's about what skills I see from him. His offensive repertoire is pretty solid. He's got a nice hook. He can take it to the hoop. And he can shoot.

Am I trying to make Nicholson out to be a savior that's going to change Dwight's mind right now? No. I'm just saying I like what I see and that he has the potential to be a very good, maybe borderline All-Star in this league, and maybe he can show enough promise to get Dwight thinking. I'm saying there's a lot that can happen.

And I didn't say Anderson gone was a positive. I just listed it as a change to the roster.

This board is king of taking statements and blowing it out of proportion...

I don't expect him to be here in January, but if he is still here I still don't see how he thinks we will trade him to Brooklyn. Henny said if they sign Brook to the max, no trade would happen. That is a pc way of saying he does not have any interest in Brook Lopez on this team, so even in January I don't see it. Are the nets going to trade Brook elsewhere and get someone else? With Brook at the max, I doubt it. We won't be taking Brook back.

Does not really look good for Magic. It seems that Hennigan overplayed his hand, asked for too much and the Nets walked, leaving the Lakers and Rockets in drivers seat, not Hennigan. So Houston and Lakers step back a bit, as there are no other suitors for now. But if it is true and Howard maintains he won't extend with them, I don't see why Lakers would trade away pieces of possibly a championship team without confirmation that Howard will sign. Houston might be willing to take the chance - what do they really have to lose? In either case, Hennigan has completely lost all leverage. Which is why he now is crawling back to Howard and asking him to stay. I doubt that the Nets are offering much come Jan. Hennigan should have taken the best offer available, the offers will only get worse from hereon.

I could see Dwights Rehab lasting long enough until he gets his trade request filled. Then, he will become all of a sudden healthy for his new team.

I think that if Hennigan thought that taking the Nets deal was better than just letting Dwight go for nothing, the deal would be done already. IMO, Hennigan thinks we're worse off taking the Nets deal. Cmon... Lopez for $15+ million per year for 4 years and a few late picks and taking a bad contract? Unless the Nets can come up with something better, he'd reject their deal in January too.

No one ever wanted to trade with the Nets and take their garbage anyways. We would rather get nothing than be stuck with Lopez.

Since The Nets signed Lopez, they are capped out to sign Dwight Howard next summer.

It was a bad deal and The Magic will get a better one.

They should target that pick from Houston amongst other things which has unusual protection that guarantees it will be a lottery pick.

houston looking to do with dwight what the nets did with deron. magic aren't trying to convince dwight to stay, that's fegan trying to salvage any bit of dwights likability and smear the magic cause he's pissed his years of shadiness and facilitating tampering to get dwight to bk just didn't work out.

You really think he's going to walk out in front of 20,000 booing fans at Amway while still wanting out? PR disaster for all.

I had little respect for Bucher before today, but he might be the dumbest tool on ESPN.

Saying the Rockets don't offer cap space, draft picks, or talent is like saying 1+2=4. Just a completely off base contradiction to facts.

He's the Ping of ESPN. Dude is a clown.
