Nothing is Quick until it happens. Then, we can say it is quick. For now, it is just empty words. I bet Jordan told the Bobcats that they would rebuild quick also.

Why waste the trade exception on a late first round pick?

Cause it might be the best you could get, why waste an early for a bit of a cap relief?
Also, you wouldnt be wasting the whole TPE, just 5 million of it, if Im not mistaken you could than use the remaining 12 million on other deals.
Anyway, I think our best trading partners for the TPE would be teams that are looking to get under the cap like Detroit.

The playoffs were fun while they lasted. I hope everyone is ready for us to be the GS Warriors of the East. We're going to be bad enough to be in the lottery but not bad enough to land a top pick.

Also, I don't see this team starting a bunch of rookies and 2nd year players like a lot of you guys think.

Harkless is still a project and he will not be starting this year at all.

Nicholson won't be starting either.

We're probably looking at...

Nelson/Ish
Afflalo/Redick
Turk/Moe
BBD/Nicholson
Vucevic/O'Quinn

I also can't wait to use AfflaLOL when Afflalo does something dumb.

At least get some potential all-star talent back.

A quick rebuild would of been returning Iggy or Bynum in that trade

If we'd have Iggy or Bynum we'd be too good to tank and not good enough to contend .. Not sure that's the way to go for this team

Caught up with #Magic CEO Alex Martins, you got to hear his message to fans, "will be a quick rebuild" watch at 6,11 on @WESH #Orlando #NBA

"Quick" is no doubt relative in this circumstance. It will be Quick compared to how long the Clips took to do it.

Correct me if I am wrong ... but didn't the Clips have a relatively stingy owner until just recently?

the way i see it is if we got Iggy who is 28 right now....by the time we can put a good enough team to contend around him he'll be like 31-32 he wouldn't be the same Iggy.....

What I meant, is some youth with potential of becoming an all-star. Like some of that top ten lottery picks this past year. There were some damn good players that would have been worth a Bynum or Iggy.

I agree with this... it's not worth the headache and salary by that point... I'm also wary of signing/trading for star or borderline star players who are nearing the end of their 20s, especially in a rebuilding process.

Hearing from several people that Dwyane Wade will likely leave Jordan Brand and sign with Li-Ning. Huge shift. — Nick DePaula (@_NDP) August 17, 2012

Interesting news coming out for you sneakerheads, it looks like Dwyane Wade will be leaving Jordan Brand and Nike to sign with Chinese sneaker company, Li-Ning.

Hmmmmm

Correct but tell me, who are the magic going to sign that will turn us into a championship contender quickly? I don't see any realistic options...

Or, even a top 4 team in the Eastern Conference. I would like to know.
