I don't know why you guys are discussing if Wiggins can fit in with the guys we have. Wiggins is someone you build around. If he can't play with Moe or Tob then you trade them away, simple as that.

After Wiggins some people think Mario Hezonja may be the next top prospect in that draft class. He can do pretty much everything on the court & is extremely confident/cocky in his game. Maybe a little too cocky at times.

From somebody familiar with his game:

Mario Hezonja to me is the most complete small forward prospect of the 3. Hezonja is a terrific slasher due to his ball-handling and first step, with the size to finish at the rim. He’s also an outstanding perimeter shooter and shot creator. Like Wiggins and Parker he has a tremendous feel for the game and IQ and craftiness creating his offense. Hezonja thus is somewhat of a middle ground between Wiggins and Parker. Wiggins is a high end athlete who needs to improve his ball-skills, while Parker is a high end skill player who may not be explosive or athletic enough in the NBA. Hezonja is both explosive and a high end skill player. To me he looks like the complete package for a perimeter offensive prospect, with the ability to attack the basket off the dribble, to hit the outside shot at an elite rate and having the natural feel and IQ to make it all work. The more I see of him, the more complete and dynamic his game and talent looks. To quote Monta Ellis, Mario Hezonja have it all.

Couple things here. First of all Parker is an explosive athlete, he's just not the knock your socks off, trim your hedges and wow your grandma athlete that Wiggins is.

Second this guy Hezonja looks like a bust to me. That boy's got a lot of Nikoloz Tskittishvilli in him.

Wiggins and Afflalo can play together IMO.

Any of Wiggins, Afflalo, Harris, Harkless, Moore, Jones and Lamb can play together.

No matter who we have, we still have to take Wiggins.

I almost wish one choice in this poll was "trade down."

I'm with you on that, not only is this a weak superstar draft but I don't want to try to win the lotto two straight years. I think we would be pushing our luck again. I want to win NEXT year!

As I've said before I do not want the 1st pick in this draft. But if we did manage to get it I'd love to be able to trade down in the top 5. Alot depends on the draft order who is behind us who is in front of us. I think this year more then any other the number one pick is going depend on the teams need who gets it. Based on the draft order we can come up with a better strategy.

Noel- Has grown on me actually, for several reasons. With the emergence of Vuc, Noel is actually the perfect compliment to him. Only thing Vuc doesn't do well is block shots, Noel's strength. Vuc can hide alot of Noel's deficients as he develops. Also I have come around on Noel himself since his senior year in high school. Seemed like another diva Calipari recruit but he actually has a nice demeanor on the court and plays very hard. Pleasantly surprised. And finally his injury is actually a bonus in my eyes for a few reasons. He can concentrate on becoming an improved shooter (ft especially), gain some upper body strength. Him sitting out part of the year gives us a good chance at getting another high pick next year for the important 2014 draft. Chance at Wiggins, Randle and Parker. So the following year it would be like getting 2 top 5 picks as our 2014 pick comes onto the team and Noel comes back to full strength.

Smart- Still probably my favorite prospect in this draft. Has the ideal size, strength and athleticism for an NBA pg. His competitiveness and leadership are also all major pluses to me. He has lead OK State back to relevance as a freshman from day 1. Give him a year behind Meer learning the craft of NBA pg is also a plus, then as Meer ages he can be an above average back up point guard. I don't see Meer having problem with this, he'd still get plenty of burn. Still want Smart the most.

Oladpio - Reminds me alot of Wade in terms of body and athleticism. I just doubt he will be as good offensively as Dwade. Hopefully if we get him he will be. Him and Harkless defensively makes me drool on the wings. He would be my 3rd option if Noel and Smart are gone.

As far as McLemore not sold on him as a top 5 pick. He vanishes too much in some games for my liking. Doesn't seem to have a great 1 on 1 game to me.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

He's saying he wants to win the Lottery next year and not this year. The chances of winning twice in a row are pretty astronomical. And considering the only team to have done it was us, it would look really bad if it happened again. Not saying the commish would step in and prevent it, but he might? So if we had to choose, 3 this year then 1 next year would be ideal.

Also I find it amusing my quote (about #3 rather than one) looks like Mofo says it. :p

No way I just want the #3 pick. It is all or bust for me.

Ahh.. I saw what he meant after rereading it. I don't think winning this year will make us any less chance of winning next year. It depends on who we take. If we take Noel and let him develops and rehab, then we'll probably be among the worse teams next year. If we take someone more polished like Smart, Oli, or Shabazz, then they'll help us win a few more games and we'll less likely to win the lottery.

True, that's not a bad way to go. My guess is that Noel will still be there at 3 though. With his injury I think McLemore is the defacto #1. So Noel will likely be 2 or 3 depending on whether a team needs a PG. So if say Cleveland or Washington get the 2 then they will probably grab Noel since they have Irving and Wall already. Otherwise it's likely Smart at 2 and Noel at 3.

we are now within 4 games of 6 teams!!! + Charlotte. WTF, we have to be careful, can't blow it here at the end.

Maybe time for Nelson to go on IR for the rest of the season (after Laker's game)

If we're among the bottom 3 or 4, we're good. Let the chips fall where they may.

If I'm reading this correctly, the only franchise to win the lottery back to back since 1964 was ours in '92 and '93.

We need:
- interior defence (Noel)
- shooting guard depth (McLemore)
- a point guard for the future (Smart)

So I'd be happy with any of those three with our lottery pick. In a way, my indifference between the three makes me hope we get the #3 pick. We'll still have (at least) one of them to pick, but they'll play without the burden of the #1 pick tag. None of these guys are 'cant miss' studs. And, like the previous poster pointed out, avoiding the #1 this year seemingly gives us a better chance at getting it next year (if you believe in that!) and landing Wiggins
Rob Hennigan is smarter than you.
