Vogel isn't the guy for us but man I just don't know if firing him is the way to go. This roster needs to be purged from the last regime first.
There is no way in hell that they fire him. He has 3 years left on his contract ,they already pay him $5,5M per year. I don't really think that he is biggest problem. In league where contenders have 4 stars, average teams 1 to 2 stars Magic have who? Fournier and Gordon? They belong in same category as Rodney Hood , "stars by accident"

Now come on he’s only had 72 hours to recover from a long flight and had to face a team that hadn’t won on the road all season, on a back to back, without their best player and DPOY who plays his position. Give the guy a break!

I think he is a very overrated coach and I did just make an edit to my original post to get rid of him but you are right. Firing him would make us look even more silly than we already do. I expect some movement on our end after December 15 as WeHam will start molding the team the way that they want it to be.

Its about heart and hustle not stars, lol. But seriously, 2 stars would be good enough to go along with the current team.

He was always overrated tbh . His Pacers team had Paul George, David West and George Hill. For whatever reason George Hill was turned into spot up shooter by him, David West was only limited to catch&shoot mid range Js and he tried to play through George . And Hibbert
Should i also remind you that he was allowing Lance Stephenson to play like he did? Dude was de-facto PG with no basketball IQ ( reminds me of Simmons now when i think about it )
He got to conference finals twice because somebody had to and Pacers happend to be that team ( litearlly nobody else but Nets even tried to be competitive on east that years )

Bro this isn’t Vogel fault! These guys are getting paid millions of dollars it’s not Vogel’s responsibility to get them to play with effort that’s on them. The players are just ignoring Vogel not moving the ball playing iso me first basketball and vuc is the worst. I guess you can say it’s vogel fault that players aren’t listening to him but I still think the majority of blame falls on players
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Do you honestly think a change in coach would make anything different?

Vogel hasn't impressed me, but my Eye of Sauron is ignoring him for right now and instead is fixated on getting rid of some of these selfish and/or soft loser guys we have.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.
- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Didn't see the Magic getting trounced at home by 40 tonight. Tragic loss. They look like last year's team.

Frankly I think we always blame the coach because it’s so easy to do. Fire the coach and that will fix all our problems! There are only three coaches I think are of any value in this league pop svg and Stevens the rest are about the same. We need better players not our 5th coach in like 6 years

Might add a couple more wins but it won’t change the personnel.

I can only really think of the Kings who are in as crappy position as the Magic in terms of rebuilding the longest with so little to show for it. Good to know that Rob sits comfortably in his OKC office managing the ‘insight’ and ‘foresight’ whilst Weltham try and sort through this carcass of a team.

I honestly think we have one legitimate starter. Gordon and I don't think he's a star of any kind either. Maybe Fournier if I'm being nice. The rest of the starters can kick rocks.
I was team tank the last couple of seasons and the hot start this season shifted me away from my position. Now I'm getting closer to getting back on board.

Lol..the insane negativity when the team is 8-8. Horrible, awful game for sure, but some of the doomsayers on here were high fiving , "easting crow" and holding hands in joy just 2 weeks ago.
The people who act like this roster is a finished product embarrass themselves. The FO has been abundantly clear that they are evaluating guys and it's safe to say changes will made - unless you think having a ton of C's and guards is normal roster creation.

Well I know I wasn’t in the ‘holding hands in joy’ crowd but I don’t think you can criticise people for being particularly pissed and not particularly happy at a 40 point loss to a team who hasn’t won a road game all year, was on the second night of a back to back and playing without their best player.
This 8-8 team is very likely to be 8-12 by this time next week and whilst I agree that the team is a million miles away from being a finished product, I don’t blame anyone for being angry at seeing the same terrible effort for the sixth straight year.

yea and 10 games into a season our "stars" started to talk about shot attemps
Yeah I know, isn't that something? We play and look way better than we have for 5 years, but instead of being happy with the results on the scoreboard, we've got guys concerned about shot attempts. An unwillingness to "pass the torch," if you can even call it a torch, to AG as our best player takes priority over winning games for a couple of these guys. It's still unclear to us as spectators from the outside exactly what went down in that regard, but if it's gone the way it looks like it's gone, that's a zero tolerance type of thing for me. If I was in charge, the offenders would be gone ASAP.
It is clear as day what went down. The front office, the coaches, and some players are all on record telling AG to stay in his lane.
This is not some mystery. They all told us what happened.
If you are on AGs side fine, but realize the entire organization is on the other side of this.

Re: Game 16: Utah Jazz @ Orlando Magic (7:00 PM EST)
I was there live and its abundantly clear this team isn't really that good. They can't play any defense and are not a team with the current cast of characters to consistently outscore the opponents on night to night. That's essentially the game plan and its a system that will fail us more often than not because the offensive talent isn't there.
