BAD TRADE.

We give crap and we recieve crap.

But we lose 2 second rounds and these are assets which can help us in future trades

This FO is terrible.

He's not wrong.
Financially irrelevant, this trade is basically Grant for 2 second rounders. Grant is not worth it. It's a bad trade.
And if (big if) the FO really went for this as the solution for our PG situation to start the season (we now have 3 PGs), then it's actually laughable.

Bad trades are losing young prospects like Tobias and Oladipo for old, **** veterans that are off the team in 1 year.

Unneeded trade? Sure. I don't see much upside out of it, but it doesn't put us in a hole and we still have a few FA signings to come and maybe possibly another trade. Not really expecting much from Grant other than bench guard play, and Mozgov may not even play at all.. not really worth people getting excited or angry about IMO.

This trade just reaffirms my fear that we have no desire to be good next season. None. We low key tanking by not giving the team what it desperately needs to win; a playmaking guard who can shoot. 2 drafts and 2 off seasons and we haven't drafted or sign one player with that archetype. It is by design.

He is nice guy to have around but with Gordon, Isaac and Bamba he would be almost unplayable. He needs a self creating guards like kemba. With us he would only clog the paint, BIG have to practice drives to the basket in a game

Just the usual post event overreacting i see.

stay positive and sane mate! I've been a lurker for years but you are one of the few posters that inspired me to start contributing. keep spreading the good word.

Thanks mate. I just cant see how its a bad deal. If Grant was like the 25th pick in this years draft and we traded two seconds to get him, everyone would be applauding the move.

Biz for moz is a slight win for us contractually in my view.

Oh and Grant was the 19th pick in 2015 and has played well...

so basically 2 2nd rounders for a 26 year old grant with little to no upside left? mozgov and Biz cancel each other out....what was the point here? is it really as simple as Biz didn't want to sit on the bench?

I remember reading that Clifford didn't like Biz because he cared more about cross fit than working on game.

A young rotation worthy player for a few seconds is a fantastic outcome.

I've never been high on Grant. He's had some good games against the Magic, but that doesn't count. I'd value the 2 picks higher than him, but I won't act like it's some disaster either. Oh well, let's hope he's a late bloomer. I mean, I was a virgin all the way up till *garbled transmission* and look at me now.

Jerian Grant has scored 89 total points against the Magic in his career. We're not his highest average, but that is the most total points he has scored against any team.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Pretty pointless trade. At least this front office did something, even if it was probably just for the sake of doing something.

Jerian Grant isn’t very good, he’s had one okay offensive year out of his three years and even then it wasn’t very good. Would’ve rather kept the seconds.

Watching people love this trade for no reason is weird. But I do agree it falls in the “needless” category before it’s considered a “dumb” trade.

This FO is terrible.

Future trades for whom exactly?
Like ive said before, go look at other teams PG depth charts and see how shallow it is. Not very many teams have more than 1 solid PG, and the ones that do, arent giving them up cheaply. You think if you called the spurs and asked for Dejounte Murray or Patty Mills, that they would even consider it for anything short of a 1st round pick?

This was the guy the FO wanted to trade for, so saying those picks could of been used on future trades is ridiculous because.....THEY WERE USED FOR TRADES THE FO WANTED TO MAKE NOW!!

Its funny, last year, the front office solid the #25 overall pick, a 1st rounder, for a top 20 protected #1 3 years later that is very likely going to become 2 2nd rounder........most had no problem with that
Then 10 picks later, they gave away a very high 2nd rounder, again for practically nothing.........No one cared

Now everyone is crying about how valuable 2nd round picks are?? really??

Sorry but ill take my chances on the 2015 top 20 pick PG who has starting experience today over a 2nd rounder 2 years from now. And if someone we want to draft falls to the 2nd round, we can always BUY the pick back.

Save money on biz deal and get a free player out of it, Sorry but this was a no-lose trade

mozgov is a cheaper (a little), and a better (a little) biyombo. he is not hated by clifford, unlike biyombo he had a positive defensive impact last year (biyombo was a minus). is the difference worth 2 second round pick? I'm not sure.

we still have the dumbest logjam in frontcourt with; vuc, birch, bamba, isaac, gordon and now another 16 million man in mozgov.
